Systematic Theology (Part seven)

“SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY” (Part seven)

INTRO:

When we use the tools we have learned, the keys that unlock the Bible, The Ethnic Principle (rightly dividing the Bible), Illumination(The Holy Ghost, Bibliography, Analytical, Dispensational and all other things we have learned, THEN WE ARE USING STSTEMATIC THEOLOGY. THE SYSTEMATIC STUDY OF GOD. WE WILL ADD TO THESE OTHERS “PARABOLIC STUDY”

Most people have a “Cafeteria Mentality” when it comes to the God’s Word. They want to pick and choose what they want to believe. We must accept that, THE HOLY BIBLE WE HAVE IS [ALL] ONE BOOK AND WE MUST ACCEPT [ALL] GOD’S WORD AS TRUTH.

THE BIBLE IS EITHER {ALL TRUTH} OR IT IS {ALL LIES}. WE MAKE THAT CHOICE INDIVIDUALLY.

The Bible Says:

Psa 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

If the Angels and everyone in Heaven know God’s word is settled then how can we think we can pick and choose.

A “PARABLE” is God’s DIVINE TRUTH revealed in simple stories, so we can understand. NOTICE WHEN GOD SPEAKS TO US IN A PARABLE, HE ALWAYS SAYS IT IS A PARABLE.

TEXT:

MATTHEW 13: 10-17

Mat 13:10  And the disciples came, and said unto him, [Why speakest thou unto them in parables?]
Mat 13:11  He answered and said unto them, [Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven], (but to them it is not given).
Mat 13:12  For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
Mat 13:13  Therefore speak I to them in parables: [because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.]
Mat 13:14  [And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:]
Mat 13:15  For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; [lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.]
Mat 13:16  [But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.]
Mat 13:17  For verily I say unto you, That [many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.]

I.) THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER:

Mat 13:18  Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
Mat 13:19  When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
Mat 13:20  But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
Mat 13:21  Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
Mat 13:22  He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
Mat 13:23  But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

     a.) The “SEED” represents THE WORD OF GOD.

In the Book of Haggai, God ask this question:

Hag 2:19  [Is the seed yet in the barn?] yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.

THAT “BARN” IS THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD. THE SAINTS OF GOD MAKE UP THE CHURCH. IF THE WORD OF GOD STAYS INSIDE OF US AND WE NEVER WITNESS, THEN THAT SEED CAN NEVER GROW INTO A PLANT, NOR THE WORD OF GOD BE SPREAD INTO THE WORLD.

In the Book of Genesis Chapter 18: 20-32 we can find that God will hold off His WRATH as long as their are people that accept the LORD JESUS as their saviour. Abraham was pleading for Lot and his family.

     b.) The “SOWER” represents, THE SOUL WINNER.

Mat 28:18  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

     c.) The “WICKED ONE” represents THE DEVIL.

We know that the thought process begins in the heart. When the Devil (catcheth away) he is trying to remove that thought from your mind. That’s why Paul gave us this next verse.

Eph 6:17  And take the [helmet of salvation], and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Because the Devil knows:

Isa 55:11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: [it shall not return unto me void], but it shall accomplish that which I please, and [it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it].

II.) THE PARABLE OF THE WHEAT AND THE TARES:

Mat 13:24  Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
Mat 13:25  But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Mat 13:26  But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Mat 13:27  So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
Mat 13:28  He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Mat 13:29  But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

     a.) They look alike: Tares(hypocrites) Wheat(Christian)

When these plants begin to grow you cannot tell one from the other.  These are the “hypocrites” that are in every church. Not Christians and will die in a sinners Hell. Even if we think we know them Jesus said to leave them alone. Jesus said He will do the separating at the time of the Rapture of the Church. We could be mistaken and cause some lost soul to go to Hell and cause a Christian to become useless to God.

Notice the words “WHILE MEN SLEPT”. When we do not observe the things God tells us to do but relax and sleep on God, then how can we expect to keep these people out of our Churches.

     b.) ONLY THE LORD REALLY KNOWS:

1Sa 16:7  But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, [but the LORD looketh on the heart].

Heb 4:13  [Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.]

Psa 7:9  [Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
Psa 7:10  My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.]

     c.) The HARVEST represents the RAPTURE of the CHURCH.

1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The TARES:

Rev 14:15  And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

III.) THE PARABLE OF THE MUSTARD SEED:

Mat 13:31  Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
Mat 13:32  Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

     a.) It’s the tiniest seed of ALL.  (The GOSPEL)

Rom 10:15  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Rom 10:16  But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Rom 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

     b.) It becomes the “TREE”. (THE CROSS)

Joh 8:40  But now [ye seek to kill me], [a man that hath told you the truth], which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
Joh 8:41  [Ye do the deeds of your father]. Then said they to him, [We be not born of fornication]; we have one Father, even God.
Joh 8:42  Jesus said unto them, [If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me].
Joh 8:43  Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Joh 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

     c.) The “BIRDS” lodge in the branches:

Heb 4:9  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10  For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Heb 4:11  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Rom 5:15  But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

IV.) THE PARABLE OF THE LEAVEN:

Mat 13:33  Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

     a.) A small amount becomes a big thing. ( LEAVEN=SIN )

1Co 5:6  Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
1Co 5:7  Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1Co 5:8  Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

     b.) The yeast(leaven) is good to the flesh:

Sin is satisfying to the flesh for awhile:

Job 20:4  Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
Job 20:5  That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?
Job 20:6  Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;
Job 20:7  Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung:

EVEN LITTLE SINS CAN DESTROY THE SAINT OF GOD AND THE CHURCH.

Son 2:15  Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.

     c.) HIDDEN IN ALL THREE MEASURES:

The Devil is “SLY”. He will hide those little sins till one day they will show up as big sins. All sin is SIN to GOD. Satan is sneaky and deceitful.

2Co 11:13  For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
2Co 11:14  [And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light].
2Co 11:15  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

V.) THE PARABLE OF THE HIDDEN TREASURE:

Mat 13:44  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

     a.) The “TREASURE” is the “JEWELS OF JOY”.

Joh 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: [I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.]

Study the story of Isaac and Rebekah and see the Jewels given to Rebekah. This story is a type or in TYPOLOGY of this PARABLE. (Genesis chapter 24).

     b.) It is in the field. (The FIELD is the WORLD)

Rom 10:18  But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

Col 1:5  For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
Col 1:6  Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

     c.) He selleth all he had. (He gave up everything he had for Jesus)

Luk 18:28  Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
Luk 18:29  And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,
Luk 18:30  Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

The Apostle Peter is criticized for a lot of things but HE GAVE UP EVERYTHING FOR JESUS.

The Apostle Paul says:

Php 3:7  But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Php 3:8  Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
Php 3:9  And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
Php 3:10  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Php 3:11  If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

VI.) THE PARABLE OF THE PEARL:

Mat 13:45  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
Mat 13:46  Who, when he had found one pearl [of great price], went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

   a.) The “Pearl” is the “CHURCH”.

Pearls are of different sizes and colors; the larger ones approach to the figure of a pear; some have been found more than an inch in length. [They are valued according to their size], their roundness, and their luster or purity, which appears in a silvery brightness.

   b.) He gave it all. (Jesus Christ gave it all for the Church)

Eph 5:24  Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Eph 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, [even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it];
Eph 5:26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

     c.) He bought the Pearl.

1Co 7:23  Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

1Pe 1:18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1Pe 1:19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

VII.) THE PARABLE OF THE NET:

Mat 13:47  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
Mat 13:48  Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
Mat 13:49  So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
Mat 13:50  And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

     a.) The “NET” represents the “CHURCH”. (The Gospel)

All kinds of people will be Gathered into the Church.

Mat 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Act 17:26  And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
Act 17:27  That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

Rev 7:9  After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

     b.) The Net will be drawn to shore.

Mat 8:18  Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to [depart unto the other side].

Mar 5:21  And [when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side], much people gathered unto him: and [he was nigh unto the sea].

     c.) They judged the contents of the Net:

2Ti 4:1  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead [at his appearing] [and his kingdom];

Rev 20:11  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

I MUST MAKE PARABOLIC STUDIES PART OF MY SYSTEMATIC STUDY OF THEOLOGY. MY STUDY OF GOD AND HIS WORD.

Amen
