Book of Zechariah Chapter 14

In Chapter 14 of Zechariah we will see the prophecy of Chapter 12 and Chapter 13 expanded. There is coming a time when most all the nations of this world will gather against the tiny nation of Israel. It will seem that all the prophesies of the Scriptures have failed. It will seem that Jerusalem the City of Peace, that has never seen peace, will be no more. It will seem that the Word of God has been a lie. It will seem that all hope is lost.

It will have been 7 years since the Antichrist came onto the scene and he has spent the last 3 and 1/2 years destroying everything and everyone who has challenged him.

He has most all the world behind him and he has decided he will be the true king of the world and he has set his eyes upon Jerusalem and his plan now to destroy the Jews.

The Scriptures say this is the time of Jacob’s Trouble:

Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
Jer 30:8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
Jer 30:9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

It will be that day that none have ever seen, the world at war but the enemy of the world will be one tiny nation, Israel, who has defied the Antichrist.

What is Armageddon?

Rev 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Rev 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

The one thing that much of the world has forgotten is that the Scriptures cannot lie, and there is a God, and He is the Lord Jesus Christ. The true and Living God!

How does our Lord explain it?

*****Zec 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
Zec 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

We know that there have already been many wars and many battles fought before this day comes.

Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
Mat 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Mat 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Mat 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
Mat 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

All these things have taken place. The “elect”, the Church has been saved from these days. The Lord promised we would not see His wrath upon us.

It is in these final days of the Great Tribulation and just when it looks like the Antichrist will be the winner, the world will meet the Lord Jesus Christ, but He will not be that humble Shepherd, He will come as King.

It is the Lord who gathered all these nations against Jerusalem.

In order for Jerusalem to be saved, all the people would have forgotten their own power, and will call upon the Lord!

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Just as the City of Peace is falling to the enemy. Just as the enemy is stealing all they can from the Jews. Just as the women and children are falling into the hands of the enemy. Just when half the city falls into the hands of the enemy.

The Lords says half of the city will not be cut off from safety.

Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
Rev 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
Rev 12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Now I cannot explain all these things, but I do know that just when all seems lost, that is when the Lord can do His best!

*****Zec 14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

What do we know for sure?

The Lord will visibly appear and fight against all the nations that go against Israel and Jerusalem!

Our Lord does many things in this world, He is in control of all things that surround us, and He is not seen.

On this day the Lord God, when He steps out of Heaven, He will be seen and when He is seen, then He is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Remember He said they look upon the One they had pierced as proof.

He is the “Word of God in person”
He is King of all kings.
He is Lord of all lords.
He is also the Mightiest of all warriors!

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

He will fight as He did against the Egyptians as He protected His children and opened the Red Sea.

He will fight as He did when He led Joshua through Canaan Land. This time there will be no covenants made and there will be none that escape to intermingle with those that survive.

Rev 14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
Rev 14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
Rev 14:16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

And when He arrives, He will first stand on the Mount of Olives, for He was not afraid to tell the enemy the exact spot He would return.

*****Zec 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Zec 14:5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Remember at this time the people of Israel and Jerusalem are in peril thinking it is finally over and the world has succeeded in destroying them forever, but this will never happen because Jehovah, the Lord, made a sure covenant with them.

They had to be broken and humbled until they finally called on the Lord with sincerity!

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Remember in Chapter 12 the Lord had poured out the Holy Spirit upon Jerusalem and Judah.

What do we know? We know the Lord has already observed the happenings around Israel, because His eye is always upon His children!

The Lord always knows what we endure!

The Lord knows when we are in peril, but He may leave us in that peril long enough to learn whatever lesson we needed to learn!

The Lord will make a way for deliverance!

The Church has always known that the Lord will return to this place.

Act 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Act 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Act 1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Some believe that there will be an earthquake on the Mount of Olives because the Muslim made a great cemetery in the pathway of the Lord and would not defile Himself walking on the dead.

Some believe the entire area will be broken up because of all the Saints that left in the Rapture.

What we know for sure is, that this sinful, bloody earth will melt before the feet of Jesus!

What we know for sure is, that the Lord will part this mountain just as He did the Red Sea in order for the children of Israel to escape!

Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Azal means they will escape to a place that is very near. A place of safety while the Lord deals with the enemy. This could be Edom.

It is a fact, earthquakes cause a panic and while those enemies of the Jews are confused, those true Israelites the Lord will save, will escape to safety!

In the days of Uzziah there was such an earthquake it was the cause of much panic!

Amo 1:1 The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

We know that this is true because the words of each true prophet of the Lord spoke only the truth!

And we already know that the Lord will never leave us, so at the Rapture when all the Saints went to meet the Lord in the cloud, we then returned with Him.

*****Zec 14:6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
Zec 14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

We live in a world where nature is thought of as something that just exist just as we do. Evolution teaches that we are a product of evolution over billions of years.

They first used millions of years, now billions of years, it’s just a matter of time before they use Trillions of years.

This theory is used about mankind and the animal world, but nothing is ever said about nature evolving!

Why? Because all this is nonsense and we have a Creator and our Creator holds the power of all His creation and the power over all of nature.

I do believe our nature was put in place to operate without much assistance, but all I know for sure is that the Lord can manipulate all of nature as His will sees fit.

On this day of earthquakes, probably volcanos and all the other such things of nature that we think are terrible, the Sun may be shining, but it cannot shine through, it will not be totally dark, but it will be dark enough to hinder sight.

After the daytime hours are passed and the evening comes it will be light.

How does the Lord explain this?

Isa 13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
Isa 13:11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
Isa 13:12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
Isa 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, “and the earth shall remove out of her place”, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

I cannot imagine what will go on in this world when the orbit of the Earth has changed!

Already some earthquakes have caused the tilt of the earth to change. I suppose that this does not affect our climate because it is never mentioned as a reason.

The Lord says:

Joe 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
Joe 3:15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
Joe 3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; “and the heavens and the earth shall shake”: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

What did Jesus say about this day and Jesus was speaking to the Jews?

Luk 21:25 “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring”;

What are some of the results of the earth shaking?

Luk 21:26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Luk 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

How did John the Apostle write about this day, and remember the Church is already with the Lord?

Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, “there was a great earthquake”; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

If the earth has moved out of its orbit, there will be so many things going on that we cannot imagine but the Lord will still be in control!

It will be this very day that life to this planet will be restored!

It may be that a nuclear holocaust has destroyed all that we know now.

Again the Lord Jesus has everything under control!

*****Zec 14:8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
Zec 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

The “River of Life” that we studied from our lesson in Ezekiel Chapter 47 and have mentioned it many times in other lessons.

So here it is again the “Living Waters”, the “River of Life”, will flow out of Jerusalem to heal our earth to as it was in the time of Adam.

We know that we will still have the seasons and summer will still be hot and winter will still be cold and hotter or colder depending upon your location on this remade earth.

Joe 3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
Joe 3:19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
Joe 3:20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
Joe 3:21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.

And the Lord Jesus Christ will be King of the entire earth!

Psa 22:27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
Psa 22:28 For the kingdom is the LORD’S: and he is the governor among the nations.
Psa 22:29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
Psa 22:30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
Psa 22:31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

Gen 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Everything in this world will change when King Jesus sits on His throne in Jerusalem!

*****Zec 14:10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.
Zec 14:11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

All the land of Judah, which will be a type the whole earth, shall be filled with the knowledge of God!

All high places, all uneven places, all rocky ground, and all barren grounds, will be level as a plain and changed into fruitful vineyards and all crops will be abundant.

One man wrote “it will all be as a valley of abnormal fertility”.

Only Jerusalem will be lifted up, while all the world around it will also be as a garden.

Psa 125:2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

Jer 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The name Jerusalem means the city of peace and Jerusalem will finally become that City of Peace!

Jerusalem has always been a divided city, but it will now be unified because of the Lord!

Many other peoples have claimed Jerusalem, but it will now truly be the City of God!

To the Lord, Jerusalem is the Holy City!

Psa 135:21 Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.

Psa 46:4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
Psa 46:5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

God says, do you remember what I did to Egypt?

What does radiation do to those who are exposed to it?

*****Zec 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

In Japan the first thing people noticed was an “intense ball of fire” according to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The atomic blast in Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 killed 140,000 people; tens of thousands died instantly, while the rest succumbed to injuries or illness in the weeks, months and years afterwards.

The atomic bomb had a yield of 15 kilo tons, equal to 15,000 tons of TNT, yet was 3,300 times less powerful than the biggest hydrogen bomb tested by the Soviet Union in 1961.

Temperatures at the epicenter of the blast reached an estimated 7,000 degrees Celsius (12,600 Fahrenheit), which caused fatal burns within a radius of about three kilometers (five miles).

ICRC experts say there were cases of temporary or permanent blindness due to the intense flash of light, and subsequent related damage such as cataracts.

A whirlwind of heat generated by the explosion also ignited thousands of fires that burned several square kilometers (miles) of the largely wooden city. A firestorm that consumed all available oxygen caused more deaths by suffocation.

It has been estimated that burn-and fire-related casualties, accounted for more than half of the immediate deaths in Hiroshima.

Verse 12 describes what happened to 185,000 people instantly in Japan when one atomic bomb was used.

But there is more.

*****Zec 14:13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.

These enemies will be struck with so much delusion and pain, and confusion, that they will not know who their enemy is, and who is their friend and they will destroy each other.

In these cases it says the Lord will cause these things, but in fact, He will not be the cause. The Lord always takes the blame, but these will be people destroying people. These armies will turn on each other!

Whether by accident or on purpose, some military commander will do the wrong thing and what follows will be mayhem.

All these things will be similar to the things that happened to Egypt and the things Jehovah did in the battles in the time of Joshua, and we could add the things that happened to the enemies of Israel in the war in 1948 and the war of 1967.

The world never learns from mistakes of those who came before them!

Remember the Lord has already poured out the Holy Spirit upon His people and here is an example from the Scriptures:

2Ch 20:21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.
2Ch 20:22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
2Ch 20:23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
2Ch 20:24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.
2Ch 20:25 And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

*****Zec 14:14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

When you go against the Lord, it will cost more than you want to pay! Judah will rally to defend their capitol city Jerusalem.

Judah will gather all the spoil and return it to Jerusalem to offer it to King Jesus.

The military of Israel will go to battle this day and they will by the “Supernatural” things of the Lord, destroy their enemies.

All those nations who came against Israel and the Lord will give the wealth of those nations to Israel, just as they had given control of it to the Antichrist!

And the Lord is not done yet.

Not only are all the military men and women confused, their equipment will fail them when they try to use it on Israel!

*****Zec 14:15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

The same plague, probably radiation, will also make the equipment of all those militaries useless against Israel!

None of the equipment of the enemy used in warfare will operate on this day as they try to attack Jerusalem!

We must again remember the truth of God!

Rom 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

We will never make peace with this sinful and evil world.

Evil and good cannot stand on the same ground.

Right and wrong cannot ever agree.

Immorality and Godly righteousness will never agree!

On this day it will be the vengeance of the Lord in full view!

*****Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Here we see the “Mercy” of the Lord, because there will be some that will be saved for whatever reason that we will not know until that day!

Everyone who survives this “Day of the Lord” will go yearly to worship King Jesus, who will sit upon His throne upon this world for 1000 years.

Everyone who is born into this world, since creation and even today, have it within them to seek out their Creator, but the lies of this world cause them confusion and delivers most of them to Hell.

In the days King Jesus sits upon His throne all those babies will grow up without the influence of Satan, and without those lies, because that old world will not exist anymore.

All the world will know Jesus as the Messiah who came to be King, and He will teach all that there is still a better place called the New Heaven and the New Jerusalem that will be in the future of all who will believe.

Faith will still be the key to everlasting life!

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

But in the end, there will still be some who would rather stay on this world than go with the Lord to an even better place, the New Heaven and the New Jerusalem!

Book of Zechariah Chapter 13

Many times we are told that the Jewish people did not know that the Messiah would come to die, yet Zechariah is not the only prophet who writes of these things.

In the Psalms:

Psa 51:2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Psa 51:3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

The Prophet Isaiah:

Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

There are other places that taught the Jews about their Savior, yet they chose to disregard those teachings.

The Jews reject many of the writings of the prophets and all the New Testament.

The fact is that we can pick and choose what we believe to be the true Scriptures but in reality, this does not make the other Scriptures to be false.

All the Scriptures are actually written by the Holy Ghost and we have no right to pick and choose what parts to believe and which parts to reject.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

We need as much God as we can get, and the best place to get the truth is with all the Holy Ghost inspired Word of God!

So what is the truth of our Savior?

*****Zec 13:1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

This Scripture refers to the Messiah as that fountain that is opened to those of Jerusalem.

We know that according to the Word of God, the Church is already with the Lord Jesus Christ before this day comes about, so in “what day” is this prophet speaking?

He is speaking of the “day of great mourning” from Chapter 12, when the Jewish people had finally realized the truth of the Messiah whom they had rejected and murdered when He first came.

Remember in Chapter 12 they had realized the truth of the Messiah.

Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me “whom they have pierced”, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Chapter 13 continues with this theme.

The Lord will cleanse every believer who remains after the 7 years of Tribulation, of their sin and of their false worship.

Remember they had been cleansed of idol worship in those 70 years of captivity, but they had given their voice unto the Beast, the Antichrist, until he sat down as God in the rebuilt Temple.

They had been fooled up until that time, along with all the world!

All that are left, rulers and people, will be cleansed of their sin because the Lord had poured out His “mercy” and His “grace”.

That word “fountain” gives the sense of “living waters”.

The true “fountain” is God the Father “as the fountain of living waters”.

Jer 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

It is God the Son that we see here in verse 1, the fountain opened to the house of David and all those in Jerusalem on that day.

God the Holy Ghost is that river of living waters in the heart of each and every believer.

Joh 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
Joh 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

What happens beside salvation on “that day”?

*****Zec 13:2 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

Idols are anything that we have placed in our lives that we hold to be higher than our Father in Heaven.

The Lord is saying, that not only idol worship would cease, but even the names of them would not be remembered.

Mic 5:13 Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.

You see all idols are manmade and the things of man are never more important than the things of God!

You know we have no need of prophets today!

We have the complete Word of God which tells us the beginning, and the end, and everything in between.

God would never send us another prophet and here, when the Jewish people wake up to the truth of the Messiah, He tells them the same thing.

The Lord will cause all the prophets to pass out of the land, which is the Promised Land and the place where King Jesus will rule this world.

There is no need for prophets, not even today.

Any prophet would be a false prophet if they went against any part of the Word of God!

We have the complete Word of God, there will never be any new revelations that go against the existing Word of God!

Anything that goes against the Word of God is also unclean and all unclean things would pass out of the land of Promises from the Jews and the Church.

So there false prophets who are filled with unclean spirits!

Unclean spirits are lying spirits which work in the false preachers and false teachers we have today!

2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

The world that is left after those 7 years of Tribulation, will not want to hear any false teachers! They will only want to hear the truth!

They certainly will not want to hear any false prophet and we should not either today.

The world that was destroyed was a world of lies and deception! The same world we live in today.

*****Zec 13:3 And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.

False teaching of any sort will be abolished during the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ.

We see that parents will not allow their children to speak against the Lord like they do today.

Today the parents allow their children to bring home a false doctrine and will not correct them but this will change the parents will rule their own families with a “rod of iron” as will the Lord!

If it were to start up again, the parents would put an end to it immediately.

The people of Millennial reign of Christ, will all honor the commandments of Christ! King Jesus will rule with a rod of iron!

Mar_12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Mat 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Mat 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

There will be no place for false teaching during the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ!

Rev_2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

There will be a complete extermination of the unclean spirits, when Jesus Christ sits on His throne in Jerusalem!

Though the Church will be with Jesus, we can still imagine a world where there will be no lies told of any sort.

There will be no deception.
There will be no temptation. (Satan will be bound for 1000 years).
The truth of God will rule each day!

The government will be a Theocracy with King Jesus the true Christ upon the throne.

All the needs of the people will be met, and this includes the truth!

*****Zec 13:4 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:
Zec 13:5 But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.

Most all of us can relate to this picture. We were all dirty rotten sinners until we met the Lord Jesus Christ and are now cleansed of our sin.

We are all ashamed of our old lives, at least I know I am.

Even in the days of near perfection there will be some who will rebel.

There will also be those who are accused of rebelling who have not.

Remember the craving to sin lives in each of us as long as we are in this body of flesh.

We are not a people who are good and sometimes do bad things. We are a people who are bad and sometimes we may do something good!

This will not change during the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ!

The one thing that is true is, that those who have survived the Great Tribulation and now know the truth, will not tolerate those who would again try to teach a false message.

Until they are found out, they will not dress as the prophets of old, nor will they appear as the TV evangelist do today, they will dress the same as those around them.

He shall say “I am no prophet”. He shall say “I am just an average person” who has been taught how to work and make a living.

Remember false prophets prefer to deceive and talk you into supporting them.

They will be hated and sought out during this Millennial Age.

This is one of the reasons that King Jesus must rule with a “Rod of Iron”!

All these people will still have the old sin nature until they are cleansed of that old spirit!

Mic 3:6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
Mic 3:7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
Mic 3:8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

These false prophets would rather be seen as slaves rather than confess that they reject the Lord Jesus Christ!

Some of these men or women may even be repenting their sin in order to be cleansed by the Lord, His “Fountain of Grace”.

Idolatry, false prophesy, and unclean spirits will be removed by the Lord Jesus Christ!

*****Zec 13:6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

No doubt this this is prophecy of our Savior when He was nailed to the cross and if you are Christian, then those wounds in the hands of the Lord we will never be forgotten.

These wounds will be a constant reminder of the things that Jesus did for us so we could be saved.

We will see those wounds when He is placing those crowns on our head and will be a reminder and we will toss those crowns back at the feet of Jesus

In fact the wounds our Savior received in paying our sin debt will be a reminder to us all the days though out eternity.

How will we differ from Christ when we have our own glorified body? Our body will not have any blemishes. Our body will be perfect, while the Lord will always show his scars on His body! Those will be His own Crowns of glory

In real time this thing also speaks of the early days of the Millennial reign of Christ

The beginning, of the Millennial Kingdom, may be the toughest years.

Many will go through firery trials before they find the Lord.

Many will question their sincerity.

The false prophet would still carry the signs of self-mutilation and these things could never be hidden.

1Ki 18:28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.

For some, it may take a chastising from our friends to keep us from doing wrong.

Pro 27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.
Pro 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

Whatever it takes for us to see the light of Jesus, is acceptable to the Lord.

We should remember the “Grace of God”. When we are washed in the blood of Jesus, we are cleansed of all our sins.

This old false prophet who finally accepts the Lord will be just as saved as we are, even if they still wear the signs of false worship .

We may scoff at these things, but the fact remains that self-mutilation is still seen today in some religions.

The Lord will rid the earth of all false prophets, false teachers, false teachers and anyone who would use lies to deceive others.

We read in verse 2 where even the parents would not allow their child to speak falsely.

Certainly it would be the same for friends. Everyone would be on the lookout for anything false!

We need our Christian friends sometimes to keep us from falling back in sin!

What does Jesus say?

*****Zec 13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

It would be good to remember when the Lord Jesus was upon this earth, He was 100% God while being 100% human. When Jesus went back to Heaven He did so in a “Glorified Body”.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the True Shepherd!

That man is that human part that the Lord has made Himself to be, so when we all live together, we will be like Him.

1Jn_3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Our Lord Jesus has made all these things possible.

Again we see in this passage the Holy Trinity as the phrase “my fellow” signifies “my equal”, my companion. The Lord’s Divine equality with the Father!

The Word was God, and the Word was with God, but He was man as well as God!

Not a natural man but the God Man, the way He presented Himself to us, so we can be with Him and see Him face to face!

1Co_13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

He is the True Shepherd because His people need Him to be that way!

He performs a Shepherd’s part because, He will watch over us, He will provide for us, and He will guide us throughout eternity!

These are things He has decided to do Himself!

We are the sheep that God the Father gave to Him to redeem so that He could give us back to God the Father when He presents His Bride.

Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

It is God the Father, who caused the sword to smite His own Son that all these things be true!

It was God the Father who cause the suffering of our Savior!

The persecuting Jews were just willing instruments in all they did against Him!

They did it voluntarily, but they did it according to the Word of God.

Had they not done so then there would be no Church.
Had they not done so then there would be no redeemed Jews.

Once the Shepherd was smitten, God turned His attention to the “little ones” all those “Babes in Christ” who would grow into the family of God!

This is the message of the Lord of Hosts!

And what of those who deny Him?

Joh 19:6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.
Joh 19:7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

Joh 19:11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

Remember it is the Lord of Hosts who is speaking.

*****Zec 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
Zec 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

At first, it was the Roman army that laid waste to two thirds of the Jews and the world has continued to do this throughout the years since that time.

Many times the world has tried to destroy the Jews, the most recent time on most minds today would be the holocaust by Adolf Hitler, where 6 million Jews were slain for no reason.

We know that by the destruction of the Temple, Jewish worship had been taken away from this people and has never been restored.

What did God promise?

“I will bring a third part through the fire”. “And refine them” “and try them” and the day is coming they will call upon His name!

Eze 5:12 A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.
Eze 5:13 Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.
Eze 5:14 Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.
Eze 5:15 So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.

It should be obvious that Jehovah is not through with this promise as of yet, but all the signs indicate that this is soon coming to an end.

1) The Church will be taken out.
2) The 7 years of Tribulation where the refinement of the Jews will succeed.
3) These Jews will call upon the name of the Lord.

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Then the Promised 1000 years of King Jesus upon the throne of David.

THE COMING OF THE KING

As we continue our study of the things that happen after the “Rapture” of the Church, we come to this passage of Zechariah 14. We will learn much about the Second Coming of Jesus from these words. When this happens “the time of Jacob’s trouble” will be coming to it’s end and the Millennial reign of Our Lord will begin.

OUR TEXT:

Zechariah 14:1-21

The coming of the King. The phrase “the day of the Lord” is used 29 times in the Bible.

Why is our King coming back?

1.) He’s coming to rid this world of sinners.

Isa 13:9  Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and [he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it].

Some think this could happen in the Church age but God never intended this to be the work of the Church. The period of “grace” is for whosoever will. The Second Coming of Christ has a sure purpose. To rid the world of sinners.

2.) He’s coming to fulfill the promises to the Israel.

Deu 30:3  That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and [will return] and [gather thee from all the nations], whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

To show His compassion for the children of Israel.

3.) He is coming to restore these Israelite to their own land.

Jer 12:15  And it shall come to pass, after that I have plucked them out [I will return], and have compassion on them, and [will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land].

The heritage of these people is Israel and Jerusalem.

4.) He is coming as King!

1Ti 6:14  That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, [until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ]:
1Ti 6:15  Which in his times he shall shew, [who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords];
1Ti 6:16  [Who only hath immortality], [dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto]; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

THIS SECOND COMING WILL BE THE ULTIMATE FULFILLMENT OF ALL THE PROPHETS.

Nathan told King David:

2Sa 7:17 says  According to all these words, and [according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David].

God’s people of the Millenium.

2Sa 7:8 says  Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, [to be ruler over my people, over Israel]:

Their own land not bothered by the Devils’s followers

2Sa 7:10  Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, [that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall (the children of wickedness) afflict them any more, as beforetime],

The sinners will have been destroyed. Isa 13:9

The Throne reestablished forever

2Sa 7:16  And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: [thy throne shall be established for ever].

Notice this is “God’s covenant” and not King David’s:

This King Jesus, is also the son of Abraham to fulfill those promises

Mat 1:1 says  The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, [the son of David, the son of Abraham].

As Christians we have three things to learn from these covenants:

1.) That we who hope in Jesus Christ and follow him in the obedience of faith are descendants of Abraham and heirs of his covenant promises.

2.) That these promises to us are more spectacular than anything we will see or hear of.

3.) That these promises are sure, (rooted in God’s unchanging truthfulness [and confirmed by Christ’s coming]).

God said to Abraham:

Gen 17:7 SAYS  And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
Gen 17:8  And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, [for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God].
Gen 17:9  And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep [my covenant] therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.

Notice this is “God’s Covenant”  not Abraham’s.

Isa 53 tells us of: The suffering Messiah

Isa 11 tells us of: The reigning Messiah

WE KNOW THIS AS THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST!

This was all a mystery to the Prophets that foretold it and to the Angels who witness every salvation.

1Pe 1:10 says  Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
1Pe 1:11  Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
1Pe 1:12  Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

Jesus said:

Luk 24:26  Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
Luk 24:27  And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

THE NEW TESTAMENT CLEARS THESE THINGS UP:

Gabriel told Joseph these words:

Mat 1:21 SAYS  [And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins].
Mat 1:22  [Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet], saying,
Mat 1:23  [Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us]. (Isa 7:14)

Old Simeon told Mary and Joseph these words:

Luk 2:28 SAYS  Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
Luk 2:29  Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
*****Luk 2:30  [For mine eyes have seen thy salvation],
Luk 2:31  [Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people];
Luk 2:32  [A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel].
Luk 2:33  And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.
Luk 2:34  And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; [and for a sign which shall be spoken against];
Luk 2:35  [(Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,)] that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. (Isa 49:6)

Luke the physician wrote these words:

Luk 24:46 SAYS  And said unto them, [Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day]: (Psa 16:10)
*****Luk 24:47  And [that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem].
Luk 24:48  And ye are witnesses of these things.

Luk 1:31 SAYS  And, [behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS].
*****Luk 1:32  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and [the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David]:
Luk 1:33  And [he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever]; and [of his kingdom there shall be no end]. (Isa 9:6-7)

LUKE WROTE TO SERVE THE LORD IS TO SERVE UNTIL DEATH:

Luk 1:68 SAYS [Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
Luk 1:69  And hath raised up [an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David];
Luk 1:70  As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, [which have been since the world began]:
Luk 1:71  [That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us];
Luk 1:72  To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
Luk 1:73  [The oath which he sware to our father Abraham],
Luk 1:74  That he would grant unto us, [that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
*****Luk 1:75  In holiness and righteousness before him, (all the days of our life)]. (John 10:28-29)

THE “WISE” MEN ASKED:

Mat 2:2  Saying, [Where is he that is born King of the Jews]? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. (Jer 23:5)

THE EXACT PLACE OF BIRTH, THAT WAS PROPHESIED:

Mat 2:6  And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: [for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel]. (Micah 5:2)

WHEN CHRIST SITS ON THE THRONE: He has already appointed the new judges of Israel. (The 12)

Mat 19:27  Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
Mat 19:28  And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, [in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel].

THE SON OF DAVID, “BUT IT IS CHRIST THAT WILL SIT ON THE THRONE”:

*****Act 2:30  Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, [he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne];
Act 2:31  He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
Act 2:32  [This Jesus hath God raised up], whereof we all are witnesses.

GOD CAME TO THE GENTILES FIRST TO ESTABLISH THE CHURCH AS PROPHESIED:

*****Act 15:14  Simeon hath declared [how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name].
Act 15:15  And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
*****Act 15:16  After this I will return, and [will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down]; and [I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up]:

THIS WOULD BE THE TABERNACLE KING DAVID BUILT TO HOUSE THE RECOVERED ARK. THIS TABERNACLE WAS LOCATED IN JERUSALEM NEAR THE KING’S HOUSE.

ZECHARIAH TOLD OF HIS FIRST COMING:

Zec 9:9  Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, [thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass].

JESUS TOLD THE DISCIPLES THAT IT WAS GIVEN TO THEM TO KNOW THESE MYSTERIES:

*****Mat 13:11  He answered and said unto them, [Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven], but to them it is not given.
Mat 13:12  For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
Mat 13:13  Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
Mat 13:14  And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
Mat 13:15  For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Mat 13:16  But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

NOW ZECHARIAH TELLS OF THE SECOND COMING:

WE  MUST NOT FORGET THAT DURING THIS TIME OF THE SECOND COMING OF OUR LORD, THE CHURCH HAS ALREADY BEEN RAPTURED OUT OF THIS EARTH AND THE CHURCH IS ALREADY IN HEAVEN WITH OUR LORD. WE WILL COME BACK WITH HIM AT THIS TIME.

WHAT THE CHURCH NEEDS TO DO IS TO NOT DWELL ON THIS SECOND COMING BUT ACCEPT IT AS TRUTH AND REMEMBER THAT “TODAY IS THE DAY OF GRACE” AND THIS DAY COULD END AT ANY MOMENT. WE ALL HAVE LOVED ONES AND FRIENDS THAT ARE LOST. WE NEED TO TELL THEM ABOUT JESUS. ONLY THE TRUTH WILL DO!

Zec 14:1  Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
Zec 14:2  For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Zec 14:3  Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
Zec 14:4  And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Zec 14:5  And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
Zec 14:6  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
Zec 14:7  But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
Zec 14:8  And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

Jesus may be back in Heaven but He is not through with this world. He is coming again because He said so. To not believe this is to not to believe the word of God. When you accept the words of Salvation then you must accept the words of Damnation and Hell. To the Church, Christ will first appear in the “Clouds” to gather His Church.

1Th 4:14 says  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1Th 4:15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
*****1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

AT LEAST SEVEN YEARS LATER HE WILL COME AGAIN TO THIS EARTH!

Verse 1.)

BEHOLD! = ( God says Stop what you are doing and understand these words).

[To fix the attention upon an object; to attend; to direct or fix the mind.]

(the day of the Lord COMETH)

2Ti 3:1 says  This know also, that [in the last days perilous times] shall come.

ARE WE LIVING IN PERILOUS TIMES? ALMOST EVERYONE IN THE WORLD WOULD SAY YES.

Jesus said “TO THE CHURCH” when these times are upon you:

Luk 21:28 says  And when these things begin to come to pass, [then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh].

The Rapture could happen at any moment! The phrase the day of the Lord as I said is used 29 times in the Bible.

THIS WILL BE A DAY OF DEVASTATION:

*****1.) Jer 30:7  Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even [the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it].

*****2.) Mat 24:21  [For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be].

*****3.) Joe 1:15  Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, [and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come].

4.) Joe 2:1  Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and [sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble]: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

5.) Joe 2:31  [The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come].

6.) Joe 3:14  Multitudes, [multitudes in the valley of decision]: [for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision].

THE WORLD WILL SEE THAT IT IS GOD THAT IS IN CHARGE:

*****Rev 5:12  Saying with a loud voice, [Worthy is the Lamb that was slain] to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
Rev 5:13  And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

JESUS CHRIST WILL PUT “ALL” HIS ENEMIES UNDER HIS FEET!

1Co 15:24  Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
*****1Co 15:25  [For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet].

THE KING OF GLORY HAS ARRIVED TO DO HIS WILL ON EARTH:

Mat 6:10  Thy kingdom come. [Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven].

Just before His arrival when the forces of the Anti-Christ think they are winning, they will be dividing the spoils of Jerusalem in the streets.

Zec 13:8 says  And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, [two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein].

Verse 2.)

Again God is in charge. He has used the children of Israel again, this time to gather all their enemies in one place. It is the Lord Jesus Christ that called this meeting and it is the Lord Jesus Christ that will end this meeting.

[This is the time of Jacob’s trouble], we already know two thirds of them will die. The women will be ravished, half the city will be captured and many will be cut off from the city.

CAN YOU IMAGINE IT TAKING ALL THIS BEFORE GOD’S CHILDREN WILL CALL ON HIM. REMEMBER WHAT MOSES SAID:

Deu 30:1  And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, [and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee],
*****Deu 30:2  [And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul];
Deu 30:3  That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, [and will return and gather thee from all the nations], whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

YOU SEE THESE WORDS DO NOT CHANGE. IT IS THE TIME OF GRACE AND ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD, BELIEVE AND REPENT OUR SIN. THESE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL HAVE THIS ONE THING TO DO BEFORE THEY WILL BE SAVED OUT OF THIS TROUBLE.

Luk 21:24 SAYS  And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, [until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled].

YOU SEE THE TIME OF THE GENTILES IS COMING FAST TO THE END. ZECHARIAH DESCRIBES HOW THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD WILL ATTACK THE CITY OF JERUSALEM. DANIEL ALSO FORETOLD OF THIS BATTLE:

Dan 7:21  I beheld, and [the same horn made war with the saints], and prevailed against them;
Dan 7:22  Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

THE MAN OF SIN:

2Th 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and [that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition];

THE BEAST:

Rev 13:1  And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and [saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy].
Rev 13:2  And [the beast] which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Rev 13:3  And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

THE ANTI-CHRIST IS LEADING THESE NATIONS AGAINST JERUSALEM:

1Jn 2:18  Little children, it is the last time: [and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come], even now are there many antichrist; whereby we know that it is the last time.

THESE ARE THE NATIONS OF THE REVIVED ROMAN EMPIRE, THESE ARE THE ISLAMIC NATIONS THAT SURROUND ISRAEL NOW. THESE ARE THE AFRICAN NATIONS INCLUDING LYBIA AND ETHIOPIA. THESE ARE PROBABLY THE RUSSIAN CONTROLLED NATIONS AND THE CHINA CONTROLLED NATIONS. THIS COULD ALSO BE AMERICA. IT DOES SAY ALL NATIONS.

The Battle is the Lords:

1Co 10:9 says  Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
1Co 10:10  Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
1Co 10:11  [Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples]: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Most all things in the Old Testament were written to give us “examples” of how Our Lord deals with things. There are also examples of this:

*****Dan 2:34 says  Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, [which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay], [and brake them to pieces].

Most of the time when this verse is read and explained it breaks down the kingdoms of the past (The Babylonian, The Greeks, The Romans, The European Union) and the future and this is true.
 
IF WE LOOK AT WHAT THIS SAYS, WE CAN SEE THAT WHILE THIS STATUE WAS IN ONE PIECE (all the nations together) THAT STONE BROKE DOWN THIS STATUE. Well we have all the nations of the world gathered together against Israel (Jerusalem) the day of Christ second coming and [He will break them all in pieces at one time]. What is their weakness? Dirt will not mix with iron!

HOW DOES GOD DO THIS?

Eze 39:2 says  And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
*****Eze 39:3  And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
*****Eze 39:4  Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.

Zec 12:2 says  Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
*****Zec 12:3  And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

THE BATTLE IS TRULY THE LORDS TO WIN, FOR HE CAN NEVER LOSE!

Psa 2:2  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3  Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
*****Psa 2:4  He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: [the Lord shall have them in derision].

THE LORD WILL LAUGH WITH SCORN AT THEIR FEEBLE ATTEMPT!

Verse 4-7.)

(His feet shall stand)

Act 1:9 says  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Act 1:10  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
*****Act 1:11  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, [shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven].
*****Act 1:12  Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.

The Lord Jesus Christ is not coming back to Washington, DC. He’s not coming back to Moscow, Or China nor anywhere in Europe.

NO THE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK TO THE EXACT SAME PLACE HE LEFT FROM, SIMPLY BECAUSE HE SAID HE WAS. NOT ONE WORD OF THE BIBLE WILL GO UNFULFILLED. THERE IS A GATE HE WANTS TO ENTER INTO AND HE WILL. (that Eastern Gate that has been closed for so long)

(Christ had wept over this city once):

Mat 23:37 says  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Mat 23:38  Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
*****Mat 23:39  For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord

This time there will no weeping from the Lord, no it’s the World that will be weeping.

(the mount of Olives shall cleave)

Just recently we have seen the terrible devastation in Haiti. We have witnessed many times destruction in California. This day in Jerusalem there will the most devastating “earthquake” of all time. Jerusalem has had at least one earthquake before. It had to be a serious quake because it was talked about for over 200 years in the Bible. They fled this city then and they will flee again.

Even the scientist agree of a future earthquake for Jerusalem:

This was taken from a report in the year 2000:

The Earthquake In Israel’s Future:
*****Thousands of Israeli would be killed and hundreds of thousands become homeless if a earthquake struck in Israel, and [there’s a good chance that a major one will occur within the next 50 years].
This is the conclusion of a recent report presented by Israel’s Geophysical Institute which checked the country’s preparedness for the eventuality of an earthquake. The report does not state that an earthquake will strike. According to the Institute, earthquakes are impossible to predict, but due to Israel’s past history and its location near fault lines, the probability that an earthquake of at least 6.5 magnitude will occur soon is great.
To prepare for the report, the Geophysical Institute took seismic readings and checked buildings and infrastructure throughout Israel. Last year’s quakes in Turkey were taken into account along with seismic happenings in and near Eilat in recent years.
According to the report, there are four areas in Israel susceptible to earthquakes: Beit Shean, Yagur (near Haifa), the Hula Valley and the Dead Sea. Estimates of the strength and magnitude of possible earthquakes in these areas are as follows:
Beit Shean 7.1 magnitude 9,500 fatalities
Yagur 6.5 magnitude 5,100 fatalities
Hula Valley 7.0 magnitude 8,300 fatalities
Dead Sea 7.0 magnitude 8,200 fatalities
These numbers are not even close to the actual number that will die.
 
*****WE MUST NOT FORGET EVERY NATION AND EVERY ARMY OF EACH NATION WILL BE SURROUNDING ISRAEL AT THIS VERY MOMENT.

*****Rev 11:13  And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
 
IN REALITY THERE IS A DEAD SEA FAULT LINE THAT RUNS UNDER THE DEAD SEA AND UP THE JORDAN VALLEY AND ALONG THE EASTERN SHORE OF THE SEA OF GALILEE. THERE IS ANOTHER FAULT LINE THAT RUNS EAST AND WEST FROM THE MEDITERRAINIAN. THIS ONE SPLITS IN THREE FISSURES AND ONE GOES RIGHT THROUGH THE MOUNT OF OLIVES.

How can these things to true?

Isa 22:9 says  Ye have seen also the breaches of the city of David, that they are many: and ye gathered together the waters of the lower pool.
Isa 22:10  And ye have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses have ye broken down to fortify the wall.
*****Isa 22:11  Ye made also a ditch between the two walls for the water of the old pool: [but ye have not looked unto the maker thereof, neither had respect unto him that fashioned it long ago].

REMEMBER GOD PLANNED ALL THIS BEFORE HE CREATED ANYTHING. HE WROTE IT ALL DOWN IN HIS BOOK BEFORE HAND!

REMEMBER WHAT JOHN SAW:

*****Rev 6:14  And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; [and every mountain and island were moved out of their places].
*****Rev 16:18  And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and [there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great].
Rev 16:19  And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN! THOSE MIGHTY ARMIES ARE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL OF IT AND OF COURSE JERUSALEM BUT IT IS THE LORD JESUS THAT IS IN CHARGE.

*****Why will it be so dark? We have a clue to at least one reason and there are other reasons.

Rev 7:1 says  And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

There will be a tremendous cloud of dust because of this great earthquake, with no wind to move and it will settle over this battle ground and just like the Bible says it will be twilight.

Rev 6:12  And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; [and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood];

*****THIS IS THE EARTHQUAKE THAT WILL ALSO CAUSE THE RIVERS TO CHANGE THEIR COURSE! THE ESCAPE ROUTE FOR THOSE TRAPPED IN JERUSALEM WILL BE OPENED.

*****Rev 12:6 SAYS  And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Eze 47:6 SAYS  And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.
Eze 47:7  Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
Eze 47:8  Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

THIS WILL BE A DAY THAT THIS WORLD HAS NEVER SEEN AND WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN!

Zec 14:9  And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
Zec 14:10  All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.
Zec 14:11  And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
Zec 14:12  And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
Zec 14:13  And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
Zec 14:14  And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
Zec 14:15  And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

Verse 9.)

*****WHAT ARE THE RESULTS OF HIS COMING?
THE LORD WILL BE KING OF THIS EARTH!

Deu 17:15 SAYS  Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.

ONLY A JEW CAN BE THE TRUE KING OF ISRAEL!

Psa 45:7 SAYS  Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: [therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows].
 
THIS KING IS GOD HIMSELF!

Back in the days of Moses, the Lord showed Himself and He had these words:

Exo 6:2  And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:
Exo 6:3  And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, [but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them].

Jehovah: This name was held by the later Jews to be so sacred that it was never pronounced except by the High Priest on the great Day of Atonement, when he entered into the most holy place. Whenever this name occurred in the sacred books they pronounced it, as they still do, “Adonai” (Lord), thus using another word in its stead.

In the days of Jeremiah, he had these words:

Jer 23:5  Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
*****Jer 23:6  In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: [and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS].
Jer 23:7  Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
Jer 23:8  But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

In Hebrew this would be Jehovah Tsidkenu: We must remember at this time everyone that has come to know Christ as there “saviour” will be “Babes in Christ”.

They are meeting the “Saviour” for the very first time.

1Pe 2:2 says  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
1Pe 2:3  If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1Pe 2:4  To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
1Pe 2:5  Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Jerusalem is now become the “Physical” and the “Spiritual” capitol of the world that Christ is about to rebuild.

Verse 10,11.)

The City of Jerusalem will be changed:

Geba is (modern Jeba) is now six miles NE from the city. Rimmon modern (En-rimmon) is thirty-five miles SW of Jerusalem and 9 miles S.

Isa 2:2  And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
Isa 2:3  And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

THIS LARGE CITY WILL BE FULL OF PEOPLE!

And Jerusalem means: This name is in the original in the dual form, and means “possession of peace,” or “foundation of peace.”  Also “vision of peace”. Now the City of Peace!

Verse 12-15.)

(This shall be the plague)

The description of what happens to these people is not pleasant. Many believe that this could be “Nuclear” in it’s effects and it certainly can be.

But we have some facts from the Bible:

God had these words for Moses:

Exo 33:19  And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
*****Exo 33:20  And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

Come in His Glory:

Isa 60:1 says  Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
*****Isa 60:2  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and [his glory shall be seen upon thee]. (Exo 33:20)

This is Christ:

*****Heb 1:3  [Who being the brightness of his glory],(Exo 33:20) and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Heb 1:4  Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

This is the same day:

*****Rev 18:1  And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and [the earth was lightened with his glory]. (Exo 33:20)

WHAT ELSE DO WE KNOW?

Col 1:16 SAYS  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
*****Col 1:17  And he is before all things, and by him [all things consist].

ALL THINGS CONSIST MEANS “HE IS THE GLUE THAT HOLDS IT ALL TOGETHER”!

THE BRIGHTNESS OF HIS COMING (THE SHEKINAH GLORY OF THE LORD):

*****2Th 2:8  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and [shall destroy with the brightness of his coming]: (Exo 33:20)
2Th 2:9  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

THE WRATH OF GOD:

2Th 1:6  Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
2Th 1:7  And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
*****2Th 1:8  [In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God], and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: (Exo 33:20)
2Th 1:9  Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2Th 1:10  When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

THE WARRIOR KING:

Psa 2:8  Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
*****Psa 2:9  [Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel]. (Dan 2:34)

THIS IS THE DAY OF HIS COMING:

*****Rev 19:11  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:12  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Rev 19:13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15  [And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God].

THE KINGDOM OF THE LORD:

Rev 11:15  And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, [The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever].

OUR PRAYER:

Mat 6:9  After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
*****Mat 6:10  Thy kingdom come. [Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven].

ARE YOU COMING WITH HIM?

FOR Just as in the days of Noah.
AND Just as in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Christ is coming to destroy all sinners this day!

*****Isa 13:9  Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: [and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it].

And all these other things will happen:

Isa 13:10  For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
Isa 13:11  And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
Isa 13:12  I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
Isa 13:13  Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Zec 14:16  And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Zec 14:17  And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
Zec 14:18  And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Zec 14:19  This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Zec 14:20  In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
Zec 14:21  Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

Everyone will go to church but most of them will truly want to go.

Eze 34:25  And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.
Eze 34:26  And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
Eze 34:27  And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
Eze 34:28  And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.

(they will be safe)

Isa 11:6  The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Isa 11:7  And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
Isa 11:8  And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.
Isa 11:9  [They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain]: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

(The Feast of the Tabernacles) a time of “REJOICING”

Lev 23:33-43

Deu 16:13 says  Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:
Deu 16:14  And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
Deu 16:15  Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: [because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice].

Rev 20:6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, [but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years].
 
(EVERYONE WILL COME)

(the Lord will smite the heathen “that come not up” to keep the feast of tabernacles).
 
*****Rev 12:5  And she brought forth a man child, [who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron]: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

There may be no sinners left on Earth but there will be some people still in the flesh. They will need a little coaxing to be obedient to the Lord.

Once we are saved and even though we become instant Saints, we are still only one step from where we just came from. There will still be a “sanctification process”.

Sanctified means:  To Be Made holy; consecrated; set apart for sacred services.

Verse 20,21.)

GOD STILL DOES NOT CHANGE HIS WAYS!

Lev 20:26 SAYS  And [ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy], and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

*****Jer 31:36 SAYS  If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, [then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever].

Rev 15:4 SAYS  Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? [for thou only art holy]: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

WE WILL SEE GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN HIS PEOPLE:

Isa 49:14  But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
*****Isa 49:15  Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, [yet will I not forget thee].
 
GOD DOES NOT FORGET ANYTHING, BUT “PRAISE THE LORD”, HE DOES CHOOSE TO NOT REMEMBER SOME THINGS!

*****Isa 43:25  I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and [will not remember thy sins].
Isa 43:26  Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

OH, WHAT A SAVIOUR!

Mic 7:18  Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
Mic 7:19  He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Mic 7:20  Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

WE DON’T THANK HIM ENOUGH!

Rom 6:17  But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Rom 6:18  [Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness].
 
IT’S ALL ABOUT JESUS!

Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Joh 14:7  If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Rev 1:18  I am he that liveth, (DEATH COULD NOT CLAIM HIM) and was dead;

(THE GRAVE COULD NOT HOLD HIM)

“and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death”

(HELL COULD NOT CONDEMN HIM).
 
THE BATTLE IS THE LORD’S! WE NEED ONLY SUPPLY OUR FAITH IN HIM!

The Cleansing of Israel

THE CLEANSING OF ISRAEL

READING TODAY FROM: Zechariah 13:1-9

We have been studying about some things that happen after the “rapture” of the Church. In Ezekiel the Temple and the River that will flow from it. In Daniel the world kingdoms past and future and the times of Christ coming, past and future. In our last lesson we saw the redeeming, the saving of Israel by Christ our Lord and how they finally turn back to God and even the leaders knew the people had returned to the Lord and they could see the power of God through his children. These are things that the Bible says will happen at the end of the tribulation period and in the Millennial Kingdom. The “second coming of Christ”!

Today we see the the “Cleansing of Israel”.

Before we can come to know our Lord as “Saviour” we must first realize that we are sinners. We have no righteousness on our own. In fact the Bible says:

Isa 64:6  But we are all as an unclean thing, and [all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags]; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

We know as being unrighteous we could not possibly stand before a “Righteous God”. Every sinner needs a cleansing before God will accept us into His beloved family.

THERE IS ONLY ONE “CLEANSING” RECOGNIZED OF GOD:

Rev 1:5 SAYS  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. [Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood],
Rev 1:6  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

WE WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THIS UNTIL WE SEE JESUS:

Php 4:7 SAYS  [And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding], shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

PRAISE GOD FOR HIS MERCY AND GRACE!

There are basically two views of mankind:

1.) That mankind is basically good, that man is good in his heart but will sometimes do bad things and need teaching and understanding to make them perfect.

THIS IS THE HUMANISTIC POINT OF VIEW!
I IMMEDIATELY ASK MYSELF WHO IS THIS PERFECT TEACHER HERE ON THIS EARTH?

2.) The Bible teaches that we are born in sin. Human nature is basically evil. We may do some good things on occasion but we are sinners until we “REPENT” an place our “FAITH” in JESUS CHRIST.

Many get confused of “repentance”.

Mat 21:28 says  But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
Mat 21:29  He answered and said, I will not: [but afterward he repented], and went.
Mat 21:30  And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.

In these words of Jesus we can see to “repent” is to be obedient to the father and to go NOT in our own way but to go to where He directed us to go.

If you are a soldier marching and your leader says to you “about face” you immediately turn in the opposite direction, you have then repented your direction.

THE HOPE OF ISRAEL WAS NOT THAT THEY WOULD GET BETTER IN TIME. NO, THEY HAVE KNOWN ALL ALONG THAT GOD WOULD HAVE TO SEND THEM A SAVIOUR, THEY CALLED HIM “THE MESSIAH.”

LET’S BEGIN OUR READING:

Zec 13:1  In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
Zec 13:2  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
Zec 13:3  And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.
Zec 13:4  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:
Zec 13:5  But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.

There has never been a shortage of false prophets. Not only in Israel but even in America and in all the World. In fact we can see as time gets closer to the end that Satan has even stepped up his false doctrine and the use of his false prophets. The true men of God have always had to try to rebuke these fakes and try to correct their false words.

1.) They teach “works” for salvation.
2.) They “deny” Jesus.
3.) They “deny” the blood.
4.) They “deny” the virgin birth.
5.) They “deny” the cross.
6.) They use other writings that they say are equal to the Holy Bible.

There are no writings that are equal to the Bible!

1Jn 2:22 says  [Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ]? He is antichrist, [that denieth the Father and the Son].

IN OTHER WORDS TO DENY JESUS IS TO DENY THE ALMIGHTY GOD!

THESE ARE THE ONES THAT ARE EASY TO SEE. THERE ARE SO MANY FALSE DOCTRINES IN THE WORLD NOW THAT THE WORLD IS CONFUSED TO THE TRUTH.

1Co 14:33 says  [For God is not the author of confusion], [but of peace, as in all churches of the saints].

GOD HAS MADE SALVATION SIMPLE:

2Co 11:3 SAYS  But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, [so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ].

IF SALVATION COULD BE BOUGHT, THEN IT WOULD NOT BE WORTH HAVING. THERE IS NOTHING IN THIS WORLD THAT YOU CAN TAKE WITH YOU WHEN IT COMES YOUR TIME TO DIE AND EVERYONE WILL DIE.

RELIGION IS SATAN’S BUSINESS AND HE CAMOUFLAGES IT IN ANY WAY THAT HE CAN USE TO DECEIVE GOD’S CHILDREN.

(in that day)

What day does Zechariah refer to at least 16 times just in his last three chapters?

Isa 13:6 says  Howl ye; [for the day of the LORD is at hand]; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
Isa 13:7  Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:

THAT DAY IS SOON COMING. “WE CALL IT THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST”. THIS IS NOT THE TIME OF THE RAPTURE BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT CHRIST WILL NOT COME ALL THE WAY TO THE EARTH ON THAT DAY.

1Th 4:16 SAYS  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain [shall be caught up together with them in the clouds], [to meet the Lord in the air]: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

NO THIS IS THE DAY OF WRATH PROMISED BEFORE TIME BEGAN!

Job 21:30  That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? [they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath].

Rev 6:17 says  [For the great day of his wrath is come]; and who shall be able to stand?

THIS IS THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST!

(shall be a fountain)

We saw the great mourning in Zec 12:10 they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and [they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn].

We will now see the joy of the Lord Psa 30:5 says  For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, [but joy cometh in the morning].

WHAT A JOY IT WILL BE WHEN WE ENTER INTO ETERNAL LIFE KNOWING THERE WILL BE NO MORE TEARS!

Rev 21:4 SAYS  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

IT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT BRINGS CONVICTION. WHEN YOU ACCEPT THE LORD JESUS INTO YOUR HEART AS YOUR SAVIOUR, “THE HOLY SPIRIT” IMMEDIATLEY MOVES IN AND YOU ARE SEALED AS A CHILD OF GOD.

Eph 1:13  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, [ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise],
Eph 1:14  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

That word “earnest”  means the Holy Spirit is our down payment until the day we meet Jesus in the clouds, the day we meet Him in the air. That is the actual day He redeems what He purchased with His blood.

YOU CAN SEE IN THESE WORDS OF ZECHARIAH HOW THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS BEGUN HIS WORK ON THESE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL. THAT FOUNTAIN OF THE LORD WILL BREAK FORTH, WIDE AND FREE AND UNSTOPPABLE.

1Co 10:4 SAYS  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

THEY WILL AGAIN DRINK OF THIS SPIRITUAL ROCK BUT THIS TIME THEY WILL BELIEVE!

THE FOUNTAIN OF THE LORD IS FOR CLEANSING FROM SIN. THE SIN OF REJECTING GOD.

1Jn 3:4 SAYS  Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
1Jn 3:5  And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

JEREMIAH WROTE ABOUT THIS NEW COVENANT WITH THE LORD MANY YEARS EARLIER!

Jer 31:31  Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32  Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33  But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

THIS IS THE COVENANT OF GRACE THAT HAD BEEN WITH THE CHURCH UNTIL THE CHURCH WAS RECALLED. SO THERE IS STILL A GREAT HOPE FOR THIS BELOVED PEOPLE OF GOD.

Rom 11:26 SAYS  And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27  [For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins].

ONLY THROUGH THE WORK OF GOD’S LAMB CAN ANY BE SAVED!

Joh 1:29 SAYS  The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, [Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world].

JESUS CHRIST IS THAT FOUNTAIN!

Rev 22:17 SAYS  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

THAT CLEANSING FOUNTAIN THAT OPENED AND GUSHED FORTH FROM
THE CROSS!

The fountain opened is the pierced side of Jesus Christ, for thence came there out
blood and water—precious blood, the price of our redemption. Those who now look to
Christ pierced are saved—but this Israel does not see and will not until His Second
Coming.

1Pe 1:18 SAYS  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1Pe 1:19  [But with the precious blood of Christ], as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Israel, at the end of the age, will pass through a period of fiery trial for purification, after which they will find Christ to be the Lamb slain for the putting away of sin. Their sin and uncleanness finally put away, they shall be restored to Jehovah’s favor.

1Jn 1:7 SAYS  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Verse 2)

WHAT DOES TRUE REDEMPTION BRING?

In {that day of the Lord} the names of all idols will be destroyed. The Hebrew word (atsab) is used here and it denotes the work of man’s hands, the results of man’s labor.

Eze 14:5  That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.
Eze 14:6  Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

Hos 4:12  My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.

WHERE DID THESE JEWS LEARN OF THESE THINGS?

(also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land)

IT HAS BEEN THESE FALSE PROPHETS ALL THE TIME THAT HAVE BROUGHT THE DOWNFALL OF THESE PEOPLE. AND IN THIS SAME PHRASE WE SEE THESE PROPHETS WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THESE EVIL SPIRITS. THESE SAME EVIL SPIRITS ARE STILL AROUND IN 2011 AND THEY STILL INFLUENCE THE FALSE PROPHETS OF OUR DAY.

*****BUT THIS DAY OF THE LORD BRINGS A CLEANSING AND AN AWAKENING FOR GOD’S PEOPLE. WHEN YOU ARE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT YOU CAN SEE THE LIGHT OF OUR GLORIOUS LORD JESUS CHRIST.

1Co 12:2 SAYS  Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
1Co 12:3  Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

THIS DAY THE PROPHECY OF HOSEA WILL BE FULFILLED:

Hos 2:19 says  And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
Hos 2:20  [I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD].

Verse 3-5)

HOW DO THESE FALSE PROPHETS PASS OUT OF THE LAND?

They are recognized for what they are by their own parents.

2Co 5:16 says  Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
2Co 5:17  [Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new].

Those that live will be so ashamed they will dress so they will not be noticed as a prophet of any sort. This is a reference to a true prophet such as John the Baptist or Elijah.

2Ki 1:8 says  And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.

If asked about what they used to do, they will deny ever being prophets and say they are just regular working people and go back to doing work that they once knew.

LET’S COMPARE THIS TO WHAT HAPPENED TO PAUL IN EPHESUS

Act 19:17 says  And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
Act 19:18  [And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds].
Act 19:19  [Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men]: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
Act 19:20  So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

THE APOSTLE PETER WROTE:

1Pe 3:12  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
1Pe 3:13  And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
1Pe 3:14  But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
1Pe 3:15  But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1Pe 3:16  Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

NOTICE HOW GOD’S WORD WILL STILL WORK IN ANY AGE, EVEN THIS TIME AT THE END OF THE TRIBULATION PERIOD.

AGAIN OUR TEXT:

Zec 13:6  And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.
Zec 13:7  Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
Zec 13:8  And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
Zec 13:9  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

(What are these wounds in your hands)

THERE CAN BE MANY REASONS FOR THESE WOUNDS!

1.) There is a practice of self-mutilation practiced in many false religions. In these last days of the tribulation and the second coming of Jesus these wounds will be noticed and questioned by the followers of Christ.

Proof:

1Ki 18:28  And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.

2.) The Hebrew word “ahab” is used for the word friends here. The Strong’s dictionary explains this word as having affection (sexually or other wise). We know that sex has been a part of a lot of false religions. Even the Muslim claim the 70 virgins in heaven.

Proof:

friends=ahab
???    ???  ‘a^hab  ‘a^he^b (aw-hab’, aw-habe’)
A primitive root; to have affection for (sexually or otherwise): – (be-) love (-d, -ly, -r), like, friend.

Jer 22:20  Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from the passages: [for all thy lovers are destroyed].

Eze 16:33  [They give gifts to all whores]: but [thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom].

3.) There can also be a third reason for these wounds. These false prophets and those that worship anything that is not God, who are now ashamed of their so called visions and have taught a false religion but now are in  jeopardy of their own lives even from their own parents, and will have injuries and scars where they have had to defend their own lives from people that have grown tired of their lies.

When you are being beaten, you will have a tendancy to hold up your hands and arms in front of your face for protection. They will be asked, well what are these wounds we see on you. They will say friends and family have caused these wounds.

2Pe 1:16 says  For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye witnesses of his majesty.

THESE PEOPLE WILL JUST NOT BE DECEIVED ANYMORE BY ANYTHING THAT IS NOT THE TRUTH OF GOD!

Remember Jesus was also wounded in the house of His friends. It was the Jews who crucified Jesus. He had the nail scared hands to prove it.

And one shall say unto him, What are those wounds in thy hands? – The words are simple; the meaning different , according as they are united with what immediately precedes, or the main subject, Him whom they pierced, for whom they were to mourn, and, on their mourning, to be cleansed, and of whom it is said in the next verse, “Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd.” Jerome and others  explain it of the punishment inflicted by parents. “These wounds and bruises I received, condemned by the judgment of my parents, and of those who did not hate but loved me. And so will truth prevail dissipating falsehood, that he too, who was punished for his own fault, will own that he suffered rightly.”
But wounds of chastisement are not inflicted on the hands, and the punishment of false prophecy was not such wounds, but death. Wounds in the hands were no punishment, which parents would inflict. They were the special punishment of the cross , after sustaining which, One only lived. The most literal interpretation, then, of the wounds in the hands harmonizes with the piercing before, and the smiting of the Good Shepherd which follows, of whom David too prophesied, “They pierced My Hands and My Feet” Psa_22:16.  “What are those wounds on Thy hands? How long, think you, and how and by whom will this be said to Him? For ever and ever, unceasingly, and with unspeakable admiration it will be said, both by God the Father, “to whom He was obedient unto death, the death of the Cross” Phi_2:8 : it will be said also both by the holy “angels” who “desire to look into” Him 1Pe_1:12, and by people whom He has redeemed. O great miracle, wonderful spectacle, especially in the Lord of all, to bear wounds in the midst of His Hands! And He shall say; “With these I was wounded in the house of those who loved Me.” O great sacrilege, sacrilegious homicide, that such wounds were inflicted in the house of those who loved. He will not say, ‘with these I was wounded by those who loved Me,’ but ‘in the house of those who loved Me.’ For they who inflicted them, loved Him not.

Verse 7)

(smite the shepherd)

Jesus Christ Himself repeated this verse His last night before that fake trial. The night before He was crucified.

Mar 14:26  And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
Mar 14:27  And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
Mar 14:28  [But after that I am risen], I will go before you into Galilee.

Notice He also mentioned His resurrection. Now God does not often repeat Himself but we can also find this in Matthew:

Mat 26:30  And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
Mat 26:31  Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
Mat 26:32  [But after I am risen again], I will go before you into Galilee.

THIS HAPPENED JUST AFTER THE LORD’S SUPPER AND PROBABLY AT THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE. THE BLOOD FLOWED FROM THE PORES OF HIS SKIN THAT NIGHT AS HE BORE THE BURDEN OF MY SIN AND YOUR SIN AND THE SIN OF THE WORLD.

THE DIFFERENCE WE SEE IN ZECHARIAH IS, THAT IT IS THE FATHER THAT SENDS THE SWORD.

GOD THE FATHER SENT HIS SON, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TO DIE FOR OUR SINS AND FOR ALL SINS. WHEN HE NEXT COMES THERE WILL BE NO SMITING OF THE SHEPHERD. NO, HE WILL HAVE THE SWORD IN “HIS” HANDS.

WE KNOW THAT THE DISCIPLES SCATTERED WHEN THAT MOB TOOK OUR LORD. BUT AFTER THESE WORDS:

Mat 27:25  Then answered all the people, and said, [His blood be on us, and on our children].

IN 70 AD THE WHOLE NATION OF ISRAEL WAS AGAIN SCATTERED AND MAY HAVE STARTED REGATHERING ON MAY 14, 1948 WHEN ISRAEL AGAIN BECAME A NATION. THE JEWS HAD SMITEN THEIR SHEPHERD ON THAT CROSS AT CALVARY. PRAISE GOD FOR PROVIDING OUR PATH TO SALVATION THROUGH THE GUSHING FORTH OF THAT BLOOD IN HIS VEINS, ON THAT DAY.

WE ARE ALL BLIND IF WE CANNOT SEE THAT GOD IS AGAIN REGATHERING HIS PEOPLE AND WE ARE IN THOSE END TIMES NOW. HE’S COMING AGAIN AND IT WILL NOT BE VERY LONG!

(upon the little ones)

IF WE GO BACK TO THE DAYS OF MOSES WE WILL FIND A SIMILIAR SCRIPTURE PASSAGE. MOSES HAD SENT OUT 12 SPIES AND WE KNOW THE STORY. GOD MADE THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL ROAM IN THE WILDERNESS UNTIL THAT GENERATION DIED OUT AND ONLY THE “LITTLE ONES” WERE ALLOWED TO GO INTO THE PROMISE LAND.

Num 14:28 SAYS  Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
Num 14:29  Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,
Num 14:30  Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
Num 14:31  But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised.
Num 14:32  But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness.

COMPARE THAT TO ZECHARIAH 13:7,8 ONLY A REMNANT WILL SURVIVE, BUT GOD SAID HIS HAND WOULD BE PROTECTING THE LITTLE ONES. WE CAN SEE THAT ONLY A THIRD OF THOSE PRESENT THAT DAY IN JERUSALEM WILL BE ALIVE. THE “TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE” WILL BE A VERY BAD TIME.

Verse 9)

THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE CHURCH. AN INDIVIDUAL SAINT OF GOD IS TRIED IN THE FIRE AS THE POTTER MOLDS THEM AND MAKES THEM.

IN VERSE NINE WE SEE THE REMNANT OF THE WHOLE NATION OF ISRAEL. THIS IS THE NEW COVENANT THAT GOD PROMISED THESE PEOPLE.

THERE WILL BE NO PHYSICAL DELIVERANCE UNTIL THERE HAS BEEN A SPIRITUAL CONVERSION!
EVEN IN THE CHURCH AGE THERE IS NO PHYSICAL DELIVERANCE WITHOUT A SPIRITUAL DILIVERANCE. YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN. GOD DOES NOT CHANGE NO MATTER WHO HE IS DEALING WITH AT THE TIME. HE IS STILL NO RESPECTOR OF PERSONS.

A MESSAGE TO GOD’S PEOPLE IS THAT WE ALSO NEED THAT DAILY CLEANSING. THAT CAN ONLY HAPPEN THROUGH DAILY PRAYER AND REPENTANCE. IF WE ARE NOT TALKING TO OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN DAILY THEN HOW CAN WE SAY WE LOVE HIM.

IT WILL BE A GREAT DAY IN ISRAEL THAT DAY WHEN THEY REALIZE THE LOVE OF GOD AGAIN! WE DON’T HAVE TO WAIT,AND NEITHER DO THEY OR ANYONE ELSE.

TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!

Psa 51:7 SAYS  Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Psa 51:10 SAYS  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

THE REDEMPTION OF ISRAEL

OUR TEXT FOR TODAY:

Zechariah 12:1-14

We continue this day with the “Prophecy” of Israel just after the Rapture of the Church and the end of the age of “Grace” to the Gentiles. There will be a New Covenant of “Grace” this time it is aimed at Israel.

Eze 11:19 And I will give them one heart, and [I will put a new spirit within you]; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

Eze 11:20 That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and [a new spirit will I put within you]: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Eze 36:27 And [I will put my spirit within you], and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Eze 36:28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

If the Holy Spirit of God dwells within you then you are gloriously saved! Zechariah chapter 12 begins with the words “the burden of the word of the Lord”.

Zec 12:1 [The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel];

So what is a “burden”?

The Bible describes a burden in these ways:

1.) A “load” of any kind.

Exo 23:5 If thou see [the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden], and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.

2.) A severe “task”.

Exo 2:11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and [looked on their burdens]: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

3.) A difficult duty, requiring effort.

Exo 18:22 And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, [and they shall bear the burden with thee].

4.) A prophecy of a disastrous nature.

Isa 13:1 [The burden of Babylon], which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.

Isa 17:1 [The burden of Damascus]. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Hab 1:1 [The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see].

HOW DID ZECHARIAH SEE THE WORD BURDEN?

I BELIEVE AFTER TODAY WE CAN SEE THAT HE USED THE SAME HEBREW WORD AS ISAIAH DID (massa) AND PROPHESIED DESTRUCTION TO THE ARMIES OF THE ANTICHRIST.

What Zechariah describes is:

1.) A GREAT DAY OF BATTLE

2.) A GREAT DAY OF SALVATION

3.) A GREAT DAY OF SMITING (To kill; to destroy the life of by beating or by weapons of any kind)

4.) AND THE GREAT DAY OF CHRIST

IN OTHER WORDS JUDGEMENT, DELIVERANCE AND BLESSINGS.

The Millennial Kingdom will be a time of “Spiritual” and “Physical” restoring for the children of Israel and for the land surrounding and including Jerusalem.

1.) The Earth will be remade like the old “Garden of Eden” from the book of Genesis:

Isa 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

Isa 11:7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

Isa 11:8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.

Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: [for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea].

2.) There will be no death at this time [until the end of this 1000 years]:

Isa 65:19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

Isa 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

I BELIEVE THAT SINCE IT IS A MILLENNIUM(1000 years) THEN EVEN THE RECORD OF METHUSALAH MAY FALL. HE LIVED 969 YEARS. I ALSO BELIEVE GOD WAITED TILL THE DEATH OF METHUSALAH BEFORE HE SENT THE FLOOD.

3.) The Lord Jesus Christ will reign Supreme:

Isa 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

Isa 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Isa 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

4.) The Nation of Israel will be converted and others also will come to the Lord:

Isa 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and [we will walk in his paths]: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Isa 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Isa 2:5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and [let us walk in the light of the LORD].

Eze 47:22 And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, [which shall beget children among you]: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

5.) All creation will sigh with relief!:

Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Rom 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

It will be a “glorious” time:

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; [and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years].

**********Let’s take a quick look at why this is taking place.

Before the fall of man, Adam was just a ball of clay:

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The Bible says man was made in the Image of God:

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Now that probably means more like having a spirit and a soul and being able to think and love rather than physical appearance. “Remember Jesus came to Earth [in the physical image of man] or in the flesh”.

Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and [took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men]:

Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

God is a spirit and of course you cannot see a spirit:

Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The “soul” of man was separated from God in the fall of Adam, because of “sin”.

Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

THEREFORE IT REQUIRES A NEW BIRTH, WHICH COMES BY FAITH IN THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST.

Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Joh 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

GOD GAVE THE BREATH OF LIFE SO HE THEREFORE CLAIMS IT UPON THE DEATH OF THE FLESH!

Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

ALL SOULS BELONG TO GOD!

Eze 18:4 Behold, [all souls are mine]; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

BUT!

Eze 18:21 says But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, [he shall surely live, he shall not die].

This is called “repenting”!

Mat 21:29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.

OUR FAITH IN THE WORK OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH! YOU SEE IT IS JESUS CHRIST THAT DID ALL THE WORK AND WE HAVE ONLY HAVE TO BELIEVE, REPENT, AND PRAY TO GOD TO BE BORN AGAIN. IF NOT WE WILL COME UP SHORT!

Heb 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Heb 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: [although the works were finished from the foundation of the world].

Zec 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

Zec 12:2 Behold, [I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about], when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

(a cup of trembling)

Zechariah mentions Jerusalem 52 times. In this battle at the end of the tribulation period there will be three forces brought together.

1.) The military forces of the nations of this Earth.

2.) Satan himself.

3.) The “awesome” power of God.

THE TRUTH OF GOD IS AT STAKE, IF SATAN CAN DESTROY THE JEWS IN THE TRIBULATION THEN HE MAKES GOD A LIAR AND THE BIBLE WOULD BE ALL FALSE WRITINGS.

**********BUT I HAVE READ THE END OF THE BOOK AND WE ARE ON THE WINNING SIDE!

Rev 22:6 says And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

WE CAN BE THANKFUL THAT THE CHURCH WILL MISS THE TRIBULATION THAT THESE JEWS MUST GO THROUGH AND “MANY WILL DIE.”

Zec 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, [two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein].

Zec 13:9 And [I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them]: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

**********THAT PHRASE “CUP OF TREMBLING”

cup = In a scriptural sense, are sufferings and afflictions; that which is to be received or endured.

1.) That cup is Jerusalem.

2.) The people to drink of that cup are those armies of the Anti-Christ surrounding Jerusalem to destroy her.

3.) [What’s in that cup is the fury of God].

Psa 75:8 says For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: [but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them].

dregs = The sediment of liquor; lees; grounds; feculence; any foreign matter of liquor that subsides to the bottom of a vessel The Waste or worthless matter; dross; sweepings; refuse. [Hence, the most vile and despicable part of men; as the dregs of society].

trembling = Shaking, as with fear, cold or weakness; quaking; shivering.

Isa 51:22 says Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, [Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury]; (thou shalt no more drink it again):

Isa 51:23 [But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee]; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.

Rev 14:10 says [The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation]; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

Zec 2:7 Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.

Zec 2:8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: [for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye].

Zec 2:9 For, behold, [I will shake mine hand upon them], and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

(Jerusalem a burdensome stone)

Remember the words of Daniel:

Dan 2:45 Forasmuch [as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands], and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

**********GOD SAYS THOUGH ALL THE PEOPLE OF THE EARTH BE GATHERED AGAINST JERUSALEM, THAT STONE WILL BREAK THEM IN PIECES!

*****WE MUST REMEMBER THIS IS A LEAGUE OF NATIONS LED BY THE ANTI-CHRIST, BUT THEY CHOSE TO BE USED OF HIM AND ARE IN LEAGUE WITH HIM. THEY ARE IN MUTUAL CONSENT WITH HIM AT THIS TIME.

GOD SAYS HE WILL GIVE THEM A BURDEN THAT THEY CANNOT BEAR.

AGAIN OUR TEXT:

Zec 12:4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

Zec 12:5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

Zec 12:6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

Zec 12:7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

Zec 12:8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

Zec 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Verse 4) (every horse with astonishment)(rider in madness)(people with blindness)

THE LORD WILL NEUTRALIZE THE ENEMY WAR MACHINE:

WE MUST NOT FORGET AT THE VERY MOMENT THE LORD SETS HIS FOOT BACK ON THIS EARTH, THERE WILL BE A GREAT EARTHQUAKE. THE EARTHQUAKE IN HAITI WAS IN THE NEWS FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND WE HAVE SEEN THE PANIC THERE. THERE IS NO EARTHQUAKE LIKE THE ONE THAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN KING JESUS ARRIVES.

Isa 29:6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

Isa 29:7 And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, [shall be as a dream of a night vision].

Rev 16:18 says And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and [there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great].

Rev 16:19 And [the great city was divided into three parts], and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

Dan 7:21 says I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

Dan 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

THAT MIGHTY MILITARY WAR MACHINE WILL JUST ABOUT ANIHILATE ITSELF. THIS EARTHQUAKE IS GREATER THAN ANY THAT HAS EVER BEEN SEEN ON EARTH YET JERUSALEM WILL BE SAVED.

Verse 5-6)

Dan 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: [but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits].

These people would just have seen the destructive force of the Lord Jesus Christ as He set foot on the Mount of Olives. The armies of the Anti-Christ are in total disarray. The Children of Israel know they are witnessing the hand of God and most important, “THEY NOW BELIEVE”.

THE LEADERS KNOW THAT BEFORE THEM ARE THE PEOPLE OF GOD AND THEY DO NOT NEED ANY OUTSIDE HELP, THERE STRENGTH IS IN THE LORD.

They will be like a hearth. When wood is placed in the hearth it will be burned up.

Verse 7)

God will save the ones that are least protected first. Not the leaders or those armed for war but the innocent and the ones nearest the battle. The Lord always has his eyes on the meek, the poor, the humble and the innocent!

Verse 8)

When David was but a teenager, he loaded his sling and killed the giant Goliath. [God says that the most feeble of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will be such a warrior as David]. Remember Jesus Christ Himself was a descendant of the house of David through Mary His mother and Joseph. These Jews will show the strength of God because their strength comes from God.

Verse 9)

2Ki 19:35 says And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

With our Lord leading the assault against these nations what this angel did to these Assyrians will be only a small comparison to what He will do at that time, in that day.

AGAIN OUR TEXT:

Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Zec 12:11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

Zec 12:12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

Zec 12:13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;

Zec 12:14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

Joe 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Joe 2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

YOU SEE ONCE THIS PEOPLE OF ISRAEL “BELIEVED” AND TURNED TO THE LORD THEY WERE SAVED. THAT’S WHAT SALVATION IS ALL ABOUT. THE VERY MOMENT YOU BELIEVE WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND CALL ON THE LORD IN PRAYER, AT THAT VERY MOMENT YOU ARE SAVED.

THE SPIRIT OF “GRACE”, THE SAME GRACE POORED OUT ON THE CHURCH, THEY WERE PRAYING, IN THEIR CLOSETS AND IN MASSIVE GROUP PRAYER. THEY WERE PRAYING TO THE ONE THAT WAS PIERCED. THEY REMEMBERED THE CROSS OF JESUS AND WHY HE HAD FIRST COME.

Mat 27:25 SAYS Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

THEY REMEMBERED THIS DAY AND THEY NOW REPENTED AND THEY WERE GLORIOUSLY SAVED. THEY HAD FELT THE TUG OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!

Joh 16:8 SAYS And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

Joh 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

THEY HAD FINALLY LOOKED TO THE SAVIOUR!

Isa 45:22 SAYS Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

THEY HAD REMEMBERED THE WORDS OF MOSES AND THE PROPHETS AND DAVID!

Luk 24:44 SAYS And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

EVEN THE APOSTLE PAUL HAD WRITTEN:

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

THEY TRULY MOURNED REALIZING WHAT THEY HAD BEEN DOING WRONG ALL THESE YEARS FOR JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY BEGOTTON SON AND THE FIRSTBORN OF US ALL!

Joh 1:18 SAYS No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Col 1:15 SAYS Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

NOT ONLY WILL THESE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL SEE THE LORD BUT THE WHOLE WORLD WILL SEE HIM!

Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; [and every eye shall see him], and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Verse12)

WE SEE THE HOUSE OF NATHAN MENTIONED:

Jer 22:28 SAYS Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?

Jer 22:29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

Jer 22:30 Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.

IT IS PROPHESIED THAT A KING IN THE LINE OF DAVID WOULD SIT ON THE THRONE. WE READ THAT GOD HIMSELF HAD FORBIDDEN THE LINE OF SOLOMON BECAUSE OF CONIAH.

THEN THE LINE TO THE THRONE HAD TO COME FROM THE LINE OF NATHAN. WE KNOW THAT IT WAS MARY THE MOTHER OF JESUS WHO COMES FROM THAT LINE OF NATHAN AND JOSEPH WHO HAD COME FROM THE LINE OF SOLOMON.

LUKE 3:23-38 (HELI IS JOSEPH’S FATHER IN LAW).

Rev 5:6 SAYS And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and [in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain], having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

Rev 5:9 SAYS And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

THESE ARE NOT THINGS THAT GOD DOES TO MAKE US FEEL BAD THOUGH IT SHOULD.[EVEN OUR SOLDIERS WEAR THE PURPLE HEART PROUDLY]! OUR LORD, OUR SAVIOUR, SHOWS US THESE THINGS TO SHOW US HOW MUCH HE REALLY LOVES US. HE WANTS US TO KNOW THAT HE WILLINGLY PAID THE DEBT OF ALL OUR SIN, AND [HE PROUDLY WEARS THE STRIPES AND THE SCARS FOR THE BATTLE HE FOUGHT SO THAT WE CAN BE WITH HIM IN HEAVEN AND BE WITH HIM FOREVER, THROUGHOUT ETERNITY].

THE WHOLE WORLD WILL SEE THAT THE LORD JESUS CHRIST CANNOT BE SET ASIDE. THE WORK HE DID ON THE CROSS HAD REAL MEANING.

Act 4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Act 4:12 [Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved].

THERE IS NO OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN WHEREBY YOU CAN BE SAVED EXCEPT THE NAME OF JESUS.

THE BIBLE IS ALL ABOUT JESUS FROM COVER TO COVER.

2Co 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

THERE IS NO BETTER TIME THAN TODAY TO BE SAVED!

THE DELIVERANCE OF ISRAEL

This lesson deals with the restoring of Israel just after the Great Tribulation period. Last lesson we talked about some things during the tribulation period. Just as sure as you believe in your salvation you need to believe the entire word of God. The signs we see as Christians are signs of the “Second Coming” of Christ.

“THE CHURCH WILL ALREADY BE WITH THE LORD WHEN HE COMES THE SECOND TIME TO THIS EARTH!

OUR TEXT FOR TODAY:

Zechariah 9:9-11; 10:1-12

Today we meet “Zechariah” another of the “Prophets” of God. This one of the Books called the “Minor” prophets. We will also see these books are only smaller books and not “Minor” in their importance. We know the rules for God’s prophets. Every prophecy had to be fulfilled. Every word from God’s Bible will come true. A lot of it already has, some is still fulfilled daily and we know of the exciting times ahead for the child of God and after the “Tribulation Period” there will also be exciting times for the children of Israel.

Amo 3:7 says  Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

SURELY GOD WILL DO NOTHING UNLESS HE REVEALS IT TO US!

Mat 5:17 SAYS  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: [I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil].

JESUS CHRIST TELLS US WHEN HE COMES AGAIN HE WILL FULFILL ALL REMAINING PROPHECY!

Mat 11:13 SAYS  For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

(The Prophecy of His first coming up until John the Baptist)

1Pe 1:10 says  Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

THE APOSTLE PETER SAID THESE PROPHETS EVEN PROPHESIED ABOUT GRACE EVEN THOUGH THEY COULD NOT UNDERSTAND IT’S MEANING.

The Angels also do not understand the “Grace of God”.

1Pe 1:12  Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, [but unto us they did minister the things], which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; [which things the angels desire to look into].

The Angels will never know the abiding peace of Jesus Christ and the “presence” of the Holy Ghost within them.

Only a sinner can be redeemed!

1Pe 1:18  Forasmuch as ye know [that ye were not redeemed] with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1Pe 1:19  [But with the precious blood of Christ], as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1Pe 1:20  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
1Pe 1:21  [Who by him do believe in God], that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

*****THAT’S WHY IT IS CALLED FAITH AND IT IS STILL THROUGH THE BLOOD!

Rev 10:7 SAYS  But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, [(the mystery of God should be finished), as he hath declared to his servants the prophets].

GOD SAYS IN THE DAYS OF THE VOICE OF THE SEVENTH ANGEL THERE WILL BE NO MORE MYSTERIES, ALL WILL BE KNOWN AND ALL THAT HE HAD ALREADY TOLD TO HIS PROPHETS WHO WROTE IT ALL DOWN FOR US TO KNOW!

*****Zechariah is another of God’s prophets that came from the Priestly line, which makes him a descendant of Aaron. It is interesting to note that during the time of Zechariah, [that Confucius was also writing in in China]. THE WORLD SEEMS TO HONOR THE WORDS OF CONFUCIUS BUT MOST OF THE WORLD BELIEVES ZECHARIAH’S WORDS ARE FALSE. We know that Confucius made no prophesies of the future at all. All he wrote was poems and so called words of wisdom.

The time of Zechariah was about 521-486 BC. Haggai another of God’s prophets was also busy at this time.

Zechariah tells us of the Millennial Kingdom:

Zec 8:2 says  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.
Zec 8:3  Thus saith the LORD; [I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain].
Zec 8:4  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
Zec 8:5  And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.
Zec 8:6  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; [If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts].

Again Zechariah repeats to us some of the words of Isaiah and Jeremiah, and Ezekiel:

Zec 14:5  And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: [and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee].

(Another proof of the Rapture before the tribulation period. You cannot “come” with the Lord from Heaven unless you are “WITH THE LORD” in Heaven!

Zec 14:6 says  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
Zec 14:7  [But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD], not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
Zec 14:8  And it shall be in that day, [that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem]; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
Zec 14:9  [And the LORD shall be king over all the earth]: [in that day shall there be one LORD], and his name one.
Zec 14:10  [All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem]: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.
Zec 14:11  And men shall dwell in it, and [there shall be no more utter destruction]; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

*****NOW IF YOU ARE A SAINT THEN YOU HAVE TO BE IN HEAVEN TO COME BACK WITH THE LORD AT THIS TIME SO WE CAN KNOW THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH WILL HAPPEN BEFORE THE TRIBULATION PERIOD. YOU KNOW, ACCORDING TO THE ROMAN CATHOLICS IT TAKES SOME POPE AND SOME OTHER GROUP OF PEOPLE TO DECIDE WHEN ONE BECOMES A SAINT. I’M GLAD THE THE BIBLE TRULY TEACHES THAT ONCE I ACCEPT THE LORD JESUS AS MY SAVIOUR AND INVITE HIM INTO MY HEART, I IMMEDIATELY BECOME A SAINT OF GOD.

DIDN’T NEED NO POPE TO OK IT!

*****The Apostle Paul traveled around and met and left “Saints” every where he traveled:

Php 4:21  Salute every [saint in Christ Jesus]. The brethren which are with me greet you.
Php 4:22  [All the saints salute you], chiefly they that are of Caesar’s household.
Php 4:23  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Sainthood comes only by the “GRACE” of God AND ONLY THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!

ZECHARIAH REFERED TO THE COMING MESSIAH WITH MANY WORDS AND TITLES:

1.) MY SERVANT:

Zec 3:8  Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth [my servant] the BRANCH

2.) THE BRANCH:

Zec 3:8  Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant [the BRANCH].

Zec 6:12  And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is [The BRANCH]; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:

3.) THE KING AND THE LOWLY KING:

Zec 9:9  Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, [thy King] cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

4.) THE KING-PRIEST:

Zec 6:13  Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and [shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne]: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

5.) THE BETRAYED ONE:

Zec 11:12  And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. [So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver].
Zec 11:13  And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. [And I took the thirty pieces of silver], and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.

6.) THE PIERCED ONE:

Zec 12:10  And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and [they shall look upon me whom they have pierced], and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Zec 13:7  Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, [and against the man that is my fellow], saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

THE EXPRESSION THE LORD OF HOST IS USED 52 TIMES IN ZECHARIAH: (The Lord of the Armies of Heaven, The Lord of Hosts, The Lord of the Saints)

This is first found in Samuel(Note: this not the first verse we see this term but this verse says “His Name”).

2Sa 6:2 says  And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, [(whose name) is called by the name of the LORD of hosts] that dwelleth between the cherubims.

THE CITY OF JERUSALEM IS MENTIONED 41 TIMES IN THE BOOK OF ZECHARIAH.(The city of peace.)

*****WE CAN SEE HOW MUCH OF THE WORD OF GOD TO ZECHARIAH HAS ALREADY BEEN FULFILLED SO WE SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT ELSE HE HAD TO SAY.

ZECHARIAH WROTE THESE THINGS ABOUT 500 YEARS BEFORE THE FIRST COMING OF OUR LORD.

OUR TEXT FOR TODAY:

Zec 9:9  Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, [thy King cometh unto thee]: [he is just], [and having salvation]; [lowly], and [riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass].
Zec 9:10  And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
Zec 9:11  As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.

Verse 9.)

We know that that there were many people that believed that this was the Coming of the Messiah to rule this Earth but that time was not yet. They were saying some of the right things because Our Lord did come to save.

Psa 118:25 says  {Save now}, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

Thy King:

Jesus Christ is the King of the Jews but first He is King of Glory!

Psa 24:1 says The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Psa 24:2  For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
Psa 24:3  Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
*****Psa 24:4  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
*****Psa 24:5  He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

HE CAME TO SAVE THE ENTIRE WORLD FIRST!

Zep 2:1  [Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, (O nation not desired)];
Zep 2:2  [Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, (before the day of the LORD’S anger come upon you)].
Zep 2:3  [Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: (it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger)].

This is another passage that talks about the Christian missing the day of the Lord’s anger. WE KNOW WHAT THE RULERS OF ISRAEL DID, AND WHAT THE WORLD DOES NOW.

Psa 2:2  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed,

(HE IS JUST)

Rom 3:26  To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

(HE BRINGS SALVATION)

Rom 3:25 SAYS  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation [through faith in his blood], to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Mat 11:28 SAYS  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; [for I am meek and lowly in heart]: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

NO, HE WAS NOT CUT OFF FOR HIMSELF, HE DIED FOR ME AND FOR YOU!

Joh 14:30 SAYS  Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Joh 12:31 SAYS  Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
Joh 12:32 [ And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me].

THIS WAS A FULFILLMENT OF A PROPHECY OF DANIEL AND OTHER PROPHETS.

Verse 10.)

THE COUNTDOWN TO GRACE HAD JUST BEGUN! THE NEXT VERSE (9:10) IS THE BEGINNING OF THE FULFILLMENT OF THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM.

IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 2000 YEARS. IF WE BELIEVE THE DATE OF 32AD AND WE KNOW IT IS ONLY 2010 WE KNOW HOW MUCH TIME IS PAST. NOW SAYING THAT, THERE ARE THOSE THAT BELIEVE THIS NEXT VERSE CAN BE TAKEN LITERALY:

2Pe 3:8 SAYS  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, [that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day].
2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Pe 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

I PERSONALLY DO NOT BELIEVE ONE DAY TO THE LORD IS AN ABSOLUTE ONE THOUSAND YEARS BUT I DO BELIEVE [WE ARE STILL IN THAT TIME FRAME BETWEEN THE CROSS AND THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH THAT WE CALL “GRACE”].

HE’S COMING AND I BELIEVE IT WILL BE SOON BUT TO IMAGINE THAT WE KNOW AN EXACT DATE WOULD MAKE US FOOLISH.

TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION AND CHRIST COULD COME AT ANY TIME!

Zec 14:7  [But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD]

JESUS CAME IN PEACE THIS DAY IN JERUSALEM. THE NEXT TIME HE COMES “HE WILL CAUSE PEACE TO HAPPEN” IN THIS WORLD WITH A ROD OF IRON.

JESUS CHRIST WILL TAKE IT OWN HIS OWN TO RECYCLE THE WEAPONS OF WAR INTO FARMING MACHINERY AND THEN HE WILL “SPEAK” PEACE TO ALL THOSE THAT REMAIN ON EARTH AT THAT TIME.

Isa 2:4 SAYS  And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

THERE BE IMMEDIATE ACCEPTANCE OF THE WORD OF GOD:

Eze 12:28 SAYS  Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; [There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done], saith the Lord GOD.

THAT CHILD OF BETHLEHEM, IS NOW A KING:

Isa 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called [Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace].

OF A UNITED KINGDOM:

Jer 30:3  For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, [and they shall possess it].

OF A UNIVERSAL KINGDOM:

A DAY OF REMPTION FROM THE PITS OF HELL:(Still by the Blood)

Zec 9:11  As for thee also, [(by the blood of thy covenant) (I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water)].

Zec 10:1  Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
Zec 10:2  For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.
Zec 10:3  Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.
Zec 10:4  Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.
Zec 10:5  And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: [and they shall fight], [because the LORD is with them], and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

What is always the first thing that comes from God when we repent? “BLESSINGS”!

Heb 6:7 SAYS  For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs [meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God]:

WE ALREADY KNOW THAT THE EARTH WILL BE RESTORED TO A LAVISH GARDEN.

Isa 51:3  For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and [he will make her wilderness like Eden], and [her desert like the garden of the LORD]; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Eze 36:35  And they shall say, [This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden]; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
Eze 36:36  Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.

AND THERE WILL ALSO BE A SPIRITUAL RESTORATION:

Isa 61:11  For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; [so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations].

(Verse 2,3)

What is”vanity”? Nothingness; Emptiness; want of substance to satisfy desire; uncertainty; inanity. Emptiness; untruth.

What do we see?

Idols cannot speak at all!
Diviners cannot see anything!

Psa 135:15 says  The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
Psa 135:16  They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
Psa 135:17  They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.
Psa 135:18  [They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them].

In the days of Jeremiah and Ezekiel, there were false prophets in Israel who contradicted almost every word that God’s prophets spoke. They tickled the ears of those in leadership and those who were rich. They told the people to trust in what they said. Ain’t it strange how we see this happening again in our days? NO, it’s not really strange, it’s the fulfillment of God’s word!

*****You know a king never wants to hear that he has to follow a God or anyone else. The rich never like to be told they are making the wrong decisions. These false prophets took advantage of these men while they had the opportunity. A lot of these Idols were the same ones the enemy worshipped.

You know if not for “oil” the Muslim Religion may not even exist in our day!

*****TO THEIR SHAME THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL LISTENED TO THIS FALSE PROPHECY AND THE TRUE PROPHETS OF GOD WERE MURDERED!

Lam 4:13 SAYS  For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, [that have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her],
Lam 4:14  [They have wandered as blind men in the streets, they have polluted themselves] with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.

JUDGEMENT IS COMING ON ALL MEN THAT HAVE LED GOD’S CHILDREN ASTRAY!

BUT WHAT DO WE SEE. EVEN WHEN THE HAND OF GOD FALLS UPON THEM, THEY STILL PRAY TO FALSE GOD’S!

Rev 6:15  And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Rev 6:16  [And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb]:
Rev 6:17  For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WATCH THE NEWS WHEN THINGS ARE QUIETER AND YOU WILL SEE “THE GREEN MOVEMENT”, WHICH IS THE RELIGION AND WORSHIP OF “GAIA” OR AS WE KNOW HER, “MOTHER EARTH”. THESE PEOPLE WILL ACCEPT ANY RELIGION EXCEPT CHRISTIANITY. AND THAT IS FOR ONE REASON ONLY. WE CAN READ ABOUT IT IN THE BOOK OF GENESIS.

Gen 1:26 SAYS  And God said, [Let us make man in our image, after our likeness]: and [let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth].

THE ENVIRONMENT WE LIVE IN CANNOT SAVE US AND IT CANNOT PROTECT ANYONE FROM THE WRATH OF GOD, WHO CREATED EVERYTHING!

EVERY IDOL NO MATTER THE TYPE HAS ONE THING IN COMMON.

NOW THIS EARTH IS NOT MANMADE BUT GOD ALSO SAYS THESE WORDS:

Rom 1:25  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and [worshipped and served the creature] more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

*********THE “CREATURE” IS EVERYTHING THAT WAS CREATED OF GOD!

Creature = That which is created; every being besides the Creator, or every thing not self-existent. The sun, moon and stars; the earth, animals, plants, light, darkness, air, water, &c., are the creatures of God.

Most educated men can see the foolishness of the worship of man-made items but they sometimes miss this form of Idolatry.

*****There is still only one way to Heaven and ONE WAY to avoid the “WRATH OF GOD”!

Joh 14:6 SAYS  Jesus saith unto him, [I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me].
Joh 14:7  If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

(Out of Judah came that corner stone)

Christ crucified is the Rock:

(1) Smitten that the Spirit of life may flow from Him to all who will drink.

Exo 17:6  Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

1Co 10:4  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Joh 4:13  Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
Joh 4:14  But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Joh 7:37  In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
Joh 7:38  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Joh 7:39  (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

(2) To the Church the foundation and chief corner Stone.

Eph 2:20  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Eph 2:21  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
Eph 2:22  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

(3) To the Jews at His first coming a “stumbling stone”.

Rom 9:32  Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
Rom 9:33  As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

1Co 1:23  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1Co 1:24  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

(4) to Israel at His second coming the “headstone of the corner”.

Zec 10:4  Out of him came forth the corner,

(5) To the Gentile world-power the smiting “stone cut out without hands”.

Dan 2:34  Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

(6) In the divine purpose, the Stone which, after the destruction of Gentile world-power, is to grow and fill the earth.

Dan 2:35  Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: [and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth].

(7) To unbelievers the crushing Stone of judgment.

Mat 21:44  And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

(out of him the nail) When you hang your coat on a nail, you are at home or in a place you are safe.

Ezr 9:8  And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and [to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage].

Isa 22:23  And [I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place]; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house.

Gen 49:24  But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)

Rev 19:15  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

WHAT CAME OUT OF JUDAH?

JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD!

WHO DOES CHRIST BRING WITH HIM?

THE ARMIES OF GOD!

Rev 19:11  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:12  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Rev 19:13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14  [And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean].

ARE YOU IN THIS ARMY OF GOD? YOU CAN BE IF YOU BELIEVE AND REPENT YOUR WAY AND FOLLOW HIS WAY!

AGAIN OUR TEXT:

Zec 10:6  And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.
Zec 10:7  And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.
Zec 10:8  I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.
Zec 10:9  And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.
Zec 10:10  I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them.
Zec 10:11  And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.
Zec 10:12  And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.

(Verse 6-12)

THE DELIVERANCE OF ISRAEL:

We have an obligation to believe the word of God. If we do not believe these things about the Children of Israel then how can we say we believe in our “Salvation”. The Bible says:

Rom 11:25 says  For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26  And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, [There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob]:
Rom 11:27  For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

King David wrote a song for this occasion, it goes something like this:

Psa 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Psa 14:2  The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
Psa 14:3  They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Psa 14:4  Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
Psa 14:5  There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
Psa 14:6  Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.
Psa 14:7  Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! [when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad].

Isa 59:20 says  And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
Isa 59:21  As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; [My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever].

Israel, so named from the grandson of Abraham, was chosen for a fourfold mission:

(1) To witness to the unity of God in the midst of universal idolatry:

Deu 6:4  Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Deu 6:5  And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Isa 43:10  Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Isa 43:11  I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
Isa 43:12  I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.

(2) To illustrate to the nations the blessedness of serving the true God.

Deu 33:26  There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
Deu 33:27  The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
Deu 33:28  Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
Deu 33:29  Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.

Psa 144:15  Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.

(3) To receive, preserve, and transmit the Scripture

Deu 4:5  Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
Deu 4:6  Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
Deu 4:7  For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
Deu 4:8  And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

Rom 3:1  What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
Rom 3:2  Much every way: chiefly, [because that unto them were committed the oracles of God].

(4) To produce, as to His humanity, the Messiah:

Gen 3:15  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Gen 12:3  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Gen 22:8  And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

Gen 22:18  And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Gen 49:10  The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Isa 7:14  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isa 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isa 9:7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

According to the prophets, Israel, regathered from all nations, restored to her own land and converted, [is yet to have her greatest earthly exaltation and glory].

***** THERE IS ONLY ONE SIN THAT PUTS PEOPLE IN HELL!

THE SIN OF UNBELIEF.

THESE WORDS ARE THE WORDS OF JESUS CHRIST

Joh 16:8 SAYS  And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Joh 16:9  [Of sin, because they believe not on me];

JESUS CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS AND PAID FOR EVERY OTHER SIN THAT HAS BEEN AND WILL BE COMMITTED ON THIS EARTH!

TO REJECT THE WORD OF GOD IS TO REJECT LIFE ETERNAL!

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THERE WILL A GREAT REJOICING IN THE WORLD THE DAY THE SAVIOUR RETURNS AND TAKES OVER THIS EARTH.

GOD DOES NOT FORGET HIS PEOPLE. 

RIGHT NOW WE OF THE CHURCH MAY APPEAR WEAK AND POWERLESS IN THIS LOST AND DYING WORLD BUT WE CAN NEVER UNDER ESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE LIVING GOD AND OUR SAVIOUR. OUR WEAKNESS CAN BE TURNED TO GREAT STRENGTH THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT.

JESUS IS COMING SOON AND WE WILL BE GOING HOME.
