INTRO:

Mat 24:23 SAYS  Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
Mat 24:24  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Mat 24:25  Behold, I have told you before.
Mat 24:26  Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
Mat 24:27  For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Rev 3:3 SAYS  Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

1Th 4:16 says  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Mat 24:27 SAYS  For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Rev 19:11 SAYS  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:12  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Rev 19:13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

**********THIS CHAPTER IN DANIEL IS ONE OF THE GREATEST PROPHETIC CHAPTERS IN THE BIBLE!

GOD SAYS:

Isa 46:8  Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.
Isa 46:9  Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Isa 46:10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
Isa 46:11  Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
Isa 46:12  Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:
Isa 46:13  I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

IN THIS CHAPTER OF DANIEL THE WHOLE WORLD WAS TOLD THE TIME OF CHRIST FIRST COMING AND SOME ABOUT HIS SECOND COMING.

OUR TEXT:

Dan 9:1  In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;
Dan 9:2  In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

As Daniel always did, he gives us a time line. God knows that His Word will be questioned so he includes dates that can be proven. The first year of Darius rule of the Chaldean can be proven by history.

Then Daniel shows us why we need to study God’s word.

Note: [Daniel knew the words of Jeremiah, he studied God’s Word].

Jer 25:11 says  And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
Jer 25:12  And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.

YOU SEE NEBUCHADNEZZAR HAD CAPTURED THESE PEOPLE IN 605 BC. THE TIME OF DARIUS WAS 536BC. THE SEVENTY YEARS HAD PASSED JUST AS GOD HAD SAID.

Jer 29:10 SAYS  For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
Jer 29:11  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

NO DOUBT THAT DANIEL WOULD HAVE ALSO STUDIED THE BOOK OF ISAIAH:

Isa 44:28  That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.

DANIEL WAS SEEING THE FULFILLMENT OF GOD’S WORD RIGHT BEFORE HIS EYES. IF WE WOULD JUST BELIEVE WHAT GOD SAYS WE CAN ALSO SEE THE FULFILLMENT OF GOD’S WORD BEFORE OUR OWN EYES.

IN THE WORDS OF JESUS TO THE PHARISEES AND SADDUCEES:

Mat 16:1 SAYS  The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
Mat 16:2  He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
Mat 16:3  And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. [O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; (but can ye not discern the signs of the times)?]

**********IF WE JUST TRUST GOD AND THE WORD HE GIVES US, WE WILL FIND IT EASIER TO LIVE IN THIS WORLD AND NOT FALL INTO THE TRAPS THAT ARE SETUP BY THE ATHIEST AND THE EVOLUTIONIST AND ALL NON-BELIEVERS.

IF WE WERE AS EAGER TO READ GOD’S WORD AS WE ARE TO SATISFY THIS FLESH WE LIVE IN, “WE WOULD FIND PEACE IN THE THINGS OF GOD”!

IT IS BELIEVED THAT EZRA WROTE THE BOOKS OF KINGS AND THE CHRONICLES, HE VERIFIES THE FULFILLMENT OF GOD’S WORD. EZRA WAS A GREAT PRIEST AND ANOTHER MAN USED IN THE WILL OF GOD.

2Ch 36:20  And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
2Ch 36:21  To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, [to fulfil threescore and ten years].

OUR TEXT:

Dan 9:20  And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and [confessing my sin and the sin of my people] Israel, and [presenting my supplication before the LORD my God (for the holy mountain of my God)];
Dan 9:21  Yea, [whiles I was speaking in prayer], [even the man Gabriel, (whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning), (being caused to fly swiftly)], [touched me about the time of the evening oblation].
Dan 9:22  And [he informed me, and talked with me], and said, O Daniel, [I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding].
Dan 9:23  [At the beginning of thy supplications (the commandment came forth)], and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

There is a verse in the Book of Isaiah that prophesies what happened to Daniel.

*****Isa 65:24 says  And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

*****Jas 5:16 says  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

*****THE MOST IMPORTANT TOOL WE HAVE ON THIS EARTH IS OUR PRAYER TO OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.

Psa 73:28 SAYS  But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

*****DANIEL HAD SPENT HIS ENTIRE LIFE IN CAPTIVITY YET HE NEVER FORGOT TO CALL ON GOD. DANIEL HAD ALREADY SEEN GOD ANSWER HIS PRAYERS, BUT NEVER LIKE THIS TIME.

Heb 1:13 SAYS  But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Heb 1:14  Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

THE NAME GABRIEL MENS “CHAMPION OF GOD” OR “GOD IS MY STRENGTH”.

*****WE SEE GABRIEL IN THE BIBLE WHEN GOD WANTS THINGS CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD:

1.) Here to Daniel.

verse 21

2.) To Zacharias.

Luk 1:18  And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
Luk 1:19  And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, ‘that stand in the presence of God]; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

2.) To Mary the mother of Jesus.

Luk 1:26  And in the sixth month [the angel Gabriel was sent from God] unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
Luk 1:27  To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.

Daniel had seen visions of a man talking to him but now, HE SAW A MAN BEFORE HIM. HE SAW HIM FLYING WITH GREAT SPEED, HE ACTUALLY TOUCHED HIM, HE THEN SPOKE TO HIM.

Gabriel came so Daniel and we who know Christ can have skill and understanding of God’s word. God tells us what we need to know at all times in our life. If God wanted the future to remain a mystery, “ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS JUST NOT TELL US ANYTHING”.

Pro 15:29 SAYS  The LORD is far from the wicked: [but he heareth the prayer of the righteous].

Joh 9:31 SAYS  Now we know that God heareth not sinners: [but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth].

PRAYER IS OUR GREATEST FORM OF WORSHIP. “ONE ON ONE WITH GOD” AND “GROUP PRAYER”. LET’S STAY IN TOUCH WITH GOD AND NOT TO FORGET, WE MUST PRAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

Joh 14:13 SAYS  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Joh 14:14  [If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it].

AGAIN OUR TEXT:

Dan 9:24  (Seventy [weeks] are determined) upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Dan 9:25  Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
Dan 9:26  And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

1.)(Seventy [weeks] are determined):

THE BEST WAY TO SEE THIS MEANING IS BY USING THE BIBLE ITSELF!

We know that the seventh day is the Sabbath.

Exo 20:8  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9  Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

We know that the seventh year is a Sabbath.

Lev 25:3  Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
Lev 25:4  But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

We know that seven Sabbath years there was a Jubilee in the Fiftieth year.

Lev 25:8  And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
Lev 25:9  Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
Lev 25:10  And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

Now to get a better understanding of what Gabriel told Daniel lets go back to Jacob and Rachel:

Gen 29:26  And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.
Gen 29:27  [Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years].
Gen 29:28  And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.

This way of counting years was not new to the children of Israel: JACOB HAD TO SPEND SEVEN YEARS APIECE FOR THOSE TWO WIVES.

Num 14:33  And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.
Num 14:34  After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

GOD NEVER LET THEM FORGET THEIR DAYS OF WANDERING IN THE WILDERNESS.

DANIEL KNEW EXACTLY WHAT GABRIEL WAS TALKING ABOUT. REMEMBER GABRIEL CAME TO GIVE SKILL AND UNDERSTANDING.

*****WEEKS MEANT SEVEN YEARS!

*****SEVENTY WEEKS MEANT 490 YEARS!

THERE ARE MANY THINGS THAT WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED DURING THIS TIME BY THE MESSIAH AND OUR LORD:

1.) To finish the transgression:

Isa 59:12 says  For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
Isa 59:13  In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

2.) To make an end of sins:

Eze 36:26 says  A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27  And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Eze 37:23 says  Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

Isa 27:9 says  By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. 

3.) To make reconciliation for iniquity:

Jer 50:20  In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.

Isa 53:6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

4.) To bring in everlasting righteousness:

Jer 31:31 SAYS  Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32  Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33  But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34  And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Heb 9:28 SAYS  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

5.) To seal up the vision and prophecy:

Luk 24:44 SAYS  And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Mat 5:18 SAYS  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

6.) To anoint the most Holy:

Luk 4:18 SAYS  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luk 4:19  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Act 10:38 SAYS  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Joh 1:41 SAYS  He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

AND AT HIS SECOND COMING:

Rev 17:14  These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Rev 19:16  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Isa 59:20  And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.

Zec 13:1  In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

*******NOW GABRIEL STARTED BREAKING DOWN THESE WEEKS:

(from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem) unto (the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: (the street shall be built again), (and the wall), even in troublous times).

WE KNOW WHEN THAT TIME BEGAN FROM THE WORD OF NEHEMIAH:

Neh 2:1 says  And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence.
Neh 2:2  Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid,
Neh 2:3  And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers’ sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?
Neh 2:4  Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.
Neh 2:5  And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers’ sepulchres, that I may build it.
Neh 2:6  And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.

*****THE MONTH OF NISAN(March) 445BC and the end of the Old Testament, (Book of Malachi) was 396BC. (49 years or seven weeks).

*****THE SIXTY TWO WEEKS:

When we add these two together we have 483 years.

I have attached the sheet we got from Bro Hill when he preached a few weeks ago. This will give you an idea how all this breaks down.

                          “THE PARAMETERS OF THE END TIMES”

Daniel 9:24-27

I.) The People (24)
              thy people=The Jews
II.) The Period (24)
               seventy weeks= a week of years not days; so 70 periods of 7 years = 490 years
III.) The Purpose
     A.) Sinfulness will be eradicated (24a.)
     B.) Righteousness will be established (24b.)
IV.) The Precision (25-26)
          ** The prophecy of the 70 weeks is divided
                * 69 weeks or 483 years
                * 1 week or 7 years
          ** The first 69 weeks begins with the issuing of a decree by King Artaxerxes (Neh 2:6) to rebuild Jerusalem on March 14, 445 BC
          ** The first phase is completed on Palm Sunday – April 6, 32 AD
          ** So, from March 14, 445 BC until April 6, 32 AD, 483 years would elapse
          ** But from 445 BC Until 32 AD there is only a total of 477 years (445 + 32 = 477)
          ** The problem is the difference between the Jewish year which is 360 days and our year of 365 days.
          ** We must therefore convert the years into days.
          ** The computation for the Jewish years converted into days:
                69 x 7 periods of 360 days, or
                69 x (7 x 360)
                69 x 2520 = 173,880 days
          ** The computation for Julian calendar (should be the same total)
               445 – date of Artaxerxes decree
                  32 – date of Palm Sunday
               445 + 32 = 477 years
                             * first, we subtract one year since 1 BC and 1 AD are the same year 477-1=476
                             * next 476 x 365 days/year = 173,740 days, which is still short of 173,880 days
                             * there is a leap year every four years, 119 leap year days in 476 years
                                173,740 + 119 = 173,859 (closer)
                             * The days between March 14 – and April 6 equals 24 days
                                 173,859 + 24 = 173,883 (3 days too many)
                             * Sir Robert Anderson discovered our Julean calendar is actually 1/128th too long
                                476 years x 1/128th = 3 days (which must be subtracted )
                                 173,859 – 3 = 178,880

Jesus told His mother that day in Cana “mine hour is not yet come”

I BELIEVE HE WAS REFERING TO HIS SECOND COMING.

V.) The Parenthesis (25-26)
       
     AFTER 69 WEEKS OR 483 YEARS (173,880 days) THE COUNTDOWN STOPPED. WHY?

Joh 1:11  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Joh 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
 
THIS LEAVES 7 YEARS TO BE FULFILLED. THE BIBLE CALLS THIS THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE.

Jer 30:7  (Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble); [but he shall be saved out of it].

THE CHURCH CALLS IT THE SEVEN YEARS OF TRIBULATION!

**********NOW TO CONTINUE ON WITH THE LESSON

*****THE MESSIAH WOULD BE CUT OFF:

ON THE 8TH DAY OF NISAN 32AD THIS HAPPENED.

Joh 12:12  On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
Joh 12:13  Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Joh 12:14  And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
Joh 12:15  Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.
Joh 12:16  These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

WE KNOW THIS WAS WHEN JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD WAS CRUCIFIED.

*****”BUT NOT FOR HIMSELF”:

Jesus Christ did not go to the cross for Himself.

JESUS CHRIST WENT TO THAT CROSS FOR ME.
HE WENT FOR YOU.
HE WENT FOR EVERYONE THAT WILL EVER LIVE ON THIS PLANET, WE CALL EARTH.

*****THE PEOPLE OF THE PRINCE:

WHO ARE THE PEOPLE OF THE PRINCE:

Joh 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Joh 8:45  And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
Joh 8:46  Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
Joh 8:47  He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

*****THAT SHALL COME AND DESTROY THE CITY AND THE SANCTUARY:

WE KNOW THAT THIS HAPPENED IN 70AD.

DAN 9:27 IS NOT YET BEEN FULFILLED

THE EVIL PRINCE THAT WILL COME WILL MAKE A COVENANT WITH ISRAEL. WE KNOW HIM AS THE ANTICHRIST.

Mat 24:13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Mat 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Mat 24:15 SAYS  When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Mar 13:14  But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
Mar 13:15  And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:
Mar 13:16  And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
Mar 13:17  But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Mar 13:18  And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.
Mar 13:19 SAYS  For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

THE RAPTURE WILL HAPPEN FIRST, “THEN WE READ”:

2Th 2:1  Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2Th 2:2  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2Th 2:5  Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

WHEN?

Luk 21:20  And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Luk 21:21  Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
Luk 21:22 SAYS  For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

WE ARE TO PATIENTLY WAIT:

2Th 3:5 SAYS  And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

WHY?

IN THE WORDS OF JESUS

Luk 21:19 SAYS  In your patience possess ye your souls.

THERE ARE SEVEN YEARS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN FULFILLED BUT THEY WILL BE!

WHAT ELSE DO WE KNOW?

1.) THE CHURCH WILL NOT SEE THE WRATH OF GOD!

Rom 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:9  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, [we shall be saved from wrath through him].
Rom 5:10  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

1Th 5:9  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
1Th 5:10  Who died for us, that, [whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him].

WHEN IS CHRIST COMING?

Deu 30:1  And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
Deu 30:2  And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
Deu 30:3  That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and [will return and gather thee from all the nations], whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

THESE PROPHECIES DEAL WITH THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL. GOD LAID OUT THE CONDITIONS OF HIS RETURNING IN THE DAYS OF MOSES.

*****A CHILD OF GOD HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FULFILLMENT OF THESE PROPHECIES.

GOD SAID NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THE FUTURE!
GOD SAID TO WATCH FOR THE SIGNS!

Mat 6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. [Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof].
